iPhone
A single point of light that winds down with you. No goals, no streaks, no data. Just you, a soft glow, and eventually sleep.
Glimm is an app for doing nothing.
A single point of light on a black screen. It drifts on its own, breathes slowly and has a quiet task: it is a lantern lighter. Scattered across the sky lie lanterns that have almost gone out, and it slowly wanders from one to the next, lingers, and kindles them. They fade again, so its round never ends.
You can help: carry it to a lantern, or fling it through one. But what you light quickly fades faster than what it kindles with care.
And if you simply watch long enough, every once in a while something small happens: the light splits in two. A shooting star passes by. Sometimes Glimm draws a constellation into the night and lets it dissolve again. It's not worth waiting for. It just happens.
FOR THE MOMENTS BEFORE SLEEP
After your last touch, Glimm slowly grows darker and quieter over 15 minutes, until almost nothing remains. No timer, no goal, no result. If you fall asleep over it, the app has done exactly what it was built for.
THE SOUND (optional)
Deep, slow tones that swell and fade like breathing. No rhythm, no beginning, no end. The light moves with the sound. Or leave both silent.
WHAT GLIMM DOES NOT DO
• No streaks, points, or achievements
• No statistics, no history
• No notifications. Glimm never calls you back
• No account, no sign-up
• No ads, no tracking
• No internet connection. The app talks to no one but you
Glimm doesn't want you to stay. Success is when you close the app or fall asleep over it.
HOW IT WORKS
Everything is touch. Drag it, fling it, gently pull it apart with two fingers. Hold your finger still on the screen for a moment, and three quiet options appear: sound, color (warm or cool), wind-down.
TIP
Create an automation in the Shortcuts app ("When Glimm is opened: turn on Sleep Focus"), and your iPhone goes quiet by itself.
Buy once, yours forever. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no fine print.
