Any recipe becomes a guided cook-through: exact amounts in every step, timers that set themselves, one-tap scaling, and cleanup slotted into the downtime. Paste any recipe, a link to one, or snap a photo of a cookbook page, and Sous turns it into a guided, step-by-step cook-through built for the stove, not the couch. Most recipe apps store recipes. Sous restructures them into clear, one-at-a-time steps with the exact amounts inside every instruction, so you never scroll back with messy hands or hunt through an ingredient list mid-sauté. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • Snap it: photograph a cookbook page or recipe card (a two-page spread takes two photos) and Sous reads the recipe straight off the page; pasted screenshots work too • One step at a time, in giant type, with every measurement highlighted right in the step • Timers set themselves: any timed step starts a real timer when you check it off, and it survives locking your phone • Scale any recipe with one tap: 1/2x for two people, 2x or 3x for a crowd; every amount, checklist, and gram weight recalculates • Minimal Dishes mode plans the fewest bowls possible; Clean as You Go slots cleanup into the waits so the kitchen's clean when dinner's done • Multi-ingredient steps become tappable checklists with gram weights • Edit anything: amounts, steps, timers. Save over the original or as a new recipe HOW PRICING WORKS Your first 3 recipe conversions are free, and everything you convert stays yours forever. Sous Plus ($2.99/month or $19.99/year with a free week) unlocks unlimited conversions. THE FINE PRINT The one-time conversion step uses OpenAI to structure the recipe text or photo you import. It is processed once, with nothing about you attached, and you're asked before the first conversion. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking.
