Zerogram — Accessible Telegram Client
Zerogram is a completely free, independent Telegram client designed from the ground up for blind and low-vision users. It is built on Telegram's official open-source library (TDLib), so it works with your real Telegram account and your real chats.
Why Zerogram?
Full compatibility with the VoiceOver screen reader is the app's core design goal. Every button, every message, every screen is crafted with clear labels, hints, and rotor actions. Messages are read as "who, when, what" with a single tap; voice messages are announced with their duration, and play, pause, and seek are offered as rotor actions.
Key features:
- Secure login with phone number and two-step verification
- Full communication with chats, groups, channels, and bots
- Record and send voice messages (tap or press-and-hold)
- Send photos, videos, and documents; open documents inside the app
- React to, reply to, edit, and forward messages
- Search people across your chats and Telegram's public directory
- Notifications, mute, archive, pin
- Dark theme, adjustable text size, chat wallpapers
- 7 languages: Turkish, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, French
Your privacy comes first. Zerogram collects no data from you; all your communication happens directly with Telegram's servers over the same infrastructure. No ads, no tracking, no middleman.
Zerogram is developed by Meriç Karaca, in the belief that everyone deserves to communicate equally.
An important issue solving as soon as possible in the latest update
R_11_r
Dear Zerogram Development Team,I would like to report an accessibility issue that I have experienced while using Zerogram.Zerogram is very useful for visually impaired users, and I appreciate the work you have done to make Telegram more accessible. However, there is an important issue when accessing Telegram channels that contain lists. For example, a channel may organize its content into different lists or categories, such as books, novels, stories, quotes, and other topics. When I open such a channel, I am unable to properly navigate into these lists and access the messages or links contained inside them.As a visually impaired user who relies on a screen reader, I need to be able to navigate through these lists, open each category, and then access the individual messages or links inside it. Currently, these elements do not appear to be properly accessible or navigable with the screen reader.Could you please investigate this issue and consider improving the accessibility of these lists and their contents? It would be especially helpful if each list or category could be exposed as an accessible element that can be selected and opened using a screen reader, with the messages and links inside also being individually accessible.Thank you very much for your work on Zerogram and for your continued efforts to improve accessibility for visually impaired users. I hope this issue can be addressed in a future update.Kind regards
