Each lesson is a puzzle with guidance, not a chapter of text. YOU SEE WHAT STICKS After every move the app knows which technique was due, and it remembers whether you spotted it yourself or had it shown to you. That becomes one state per technique: new, building, solid. No percentages, no charts. PLAYING FOR FREE Easy and Medium unlimited, with all hints and note features. Plus the Daily Challenge every day, on every level up to Expert. Plus unlocks Hard and Expert permanently. DAILY CHALLENGE The same puzzle worldwide, one per day. Solving it counts toward your streak. NO GUESSING REQUIRED Not even on Expert. Most apps only check that a puzzle has exactly one solution. Whether a person can find it without trial and error is a different question. Sudoku Still also runs every board through a solver that knows only human techniques, and discards what it cannot finish. LEVELS BY TECHNIQUE A puzzle's level depends on the hardest technique it requires, not on how many digits are missing. Hard is therefore equally hard every day. NOTES THAT KEEP COUNT Candidate notes update themselves when you enter a digit, and a hint reads your current notes and carries on from there. Not a rebuild of paper and pencil, but what a screen can actually do. SMALL AND OFFLINE Smaller than a photo. Runs without a connection and without video, which goes easy on the battery. Collects no data at all. ALSO Streak, level and best times live in your iCloud, on iPhone and iPad, with no account and no sign-in. Siri and Shortcuts answer your streak and best time without the app opening, and the lessons are in Spotlight. SUDOKU STILL PLUS Plus opens up "Hard" and "Expert" in free play: boards where the patterns from the tutorial are actually needed, as often as you like. Family Sharing makes one subscription count for everyone in your family. Without Plus, Easy and Medium and the Daily Challenge stay fully open. Sudoku Still Plus is an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly). Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. PROGRESS PER TECHNIQUE After every move the app knows which technique was due, and it remembers whether you spotted it yourself or had it shown to you. Your statistics turn that into one state per technique: new, building, solid. Every solved game also shows how it came about, and each difficulty tells you how many you solved without hints. ON IPAD A sidebar leads to play, scoreboard, statistics and techniques, instead of each area covering the whole screen. Board, controls and text columns only grow to a sensible size: extra space becomes calm rather than huge cells. Lessons sit in two columns, example board beside text. A connected keyboard plays the game: enter digits, erase, notes mode, hint, pause. Font sizes follow your text size setting. A locked difficulty now tells you when it runs free in the Daily Challenge, with a button that takes you straight there. The 4×4 board is gone; the way in is "Easy".
