Hintik is an app where the people closest to you hint at gifts instead of guessing them.
"What would you like?" is an awkward question to answer straight out. And guessing on your own is a lottery. There's a third way: drop a hint.
A HINT GOES TO ONE PERSON
To the one you actually want to tell, not to everyone at once. Paste a link and the name, price and photo fill themselves in. Hint at things and at experiences alike: a concert, a dinner, a trip for two.
THE SURPRISE STAYS A SURPRISE
When someone is preparing a gift for you, it gets marked privately: "bought" or "planned". You won't see it — not the mark, not a sign that it's there. That's how the app is built; it isn't a switch anyone can flip by accident.
A WISH LIST YOU'RE HAPPY TO SEND
Keep your own list and send its link — it opens for people who don't have the app. Need a separate one for a birthday, a housewarming or your child? Make as many as you like; each gets its own link.
NOBODY BUYS THE SAME GIFT TWICE
Whoever is getting an item marks it, and everyone else sees that it's taken. The person whose list it is sees none of that.
