Write a world from a single line and StoryVault builds it out. Or step inside Jane Eyre, Dracula or Frankenstein and take the story somewhere the author never did.
Write a world from a single line. Or step inside a classic and take it somewhere the author never did.
StoryVault is an AI adventure engine built on a library of eighty complete classics. Play it, write it, read it, or listen to it.
AI ADVENTURES
Hundreds of branching adventures across myth, folklore, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, history, stage and epic poetry. Tap one of the offered choices — or ignore them entirely and type whatever you want. The story follows, and it remembers: your choices carry forward, so a single run can unfold for hours and never repeat itself. Every adventure opens at its true beginning and diverges from there.
WRITE YOUR OWN
Start from one idea — a title, a genre, a character, a plot seed — and StoryVault builds the world around it, keeping continuity turn after turn. Switch a run between fast interactive turns and chapter-length prose whenever the mood changes. Publish what you like to the Marketplace, and browse a curated shelf of StoryVault Originals.
PLAY THE CLASSICS
Eighty complete works — all published in 1925 or earlier and in the public domain in the United States — are bundled in the app: Dracula, Frankenstein, Alice in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes, Pride and Prejudice, Treasure Island, The Odyssey, and 73 more. Read any of them free and offline: no subscription, no ads, no page limit. Then step inside. Play a character and see the book through their eyes, or take a path the book never took.
HEAR EVERY WORD
Tap Listen and a narrator takes over — per scene in adventures, chapter by chapter in books — with background playback and Lock Screen controls, so a story follows you from the couch to the commute.
MADE TO CURL UP WITH
A warm, dark, cozy design with animated atmosphere tuned to each book — a white rabbit for Alice, the Nautilus for 20,000 Leagues — plus painted cover art for all 80 titles, reading progress, and achievements to collect.
FREE AND PRO
Reading all 80 classics is free and unlimited — no subscription, no ads, no page limit.
Your first AI adventure is free as well: 10 AI Adventure turns, enough to take one story from its opening through to an ending, plus 1 custom adventure, 5 saved adventures, and a few minutes of narration a day. Those 10 turns are a one-time welcome, not a monthly allowance.
StoryVault Pro continues that story and every one after it: 3,000 AI Adventure turns a month (about 100 a day), unlimited custom and saved adventures, roughly 80 minutes of narration a day, all four illustration styles, and original AI scene art on up to 10 turns a day (100 a month). Scene art, and the Ink & Watercolor, Cinematic Noir and Modern Illustrated styles, are Pro features and are not included in the free tier.
An optional account (Sign in with Apple or Google) unlocks publishing to the Marketplace and lifts the guest limits — you can read and play without one.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
The AI Adventure page was drawn in one shade of purple. The page, the passage and the three choices all sat within a few percent of the same colour, so nothing on screen had rank and nothing said who was speaking.
Each passage now sits on its own plate with a gilt spine down its leading edge, and your own move is the one purple object in the transcript — the storyteller's voice and yours finally read as two voices. Listen is a proper button beneath the passage instead of a line of small gold text tucked inside it. And the choice the original author actually wrote is labelled "From the book"; before, it carried a bookmark icon and nothing that said what the icon meant.
Light mode was worse than it looked. The brand gold that reads beautifully on the night theme is nearly invisible on parchment, and it was being used as ink — chapter headings, the Listen control, section titles in Settings and Profile, library headers, the reading controls. On the light theme those were sitting under 2:1 against the page behind them. They are legible now, across Adventure, the Library, the Reader, Settings and Profile.
While a chapter is read aloud, the spoken word is the most readable word on the page rather than the least, and the page no longer shifts sideways as the narration moves from paragraph to paragraph.
Story passages can be selected and copied. VoiceOver reads them as prose instead of announcing "button". The reader's playback controls, the Listen button and the composer's send button all have full-size tap targets, and the page-curl page turn honours Reduce Motion.
The King in Yellow is divided into its ten stories instead of twenty-four fragments.
