Build your StatSmith fantasy team for AFLW 2026! Select players, track scores, and compete against your friends in leagues. Players score StatSmith points based on the statistics they accumulate in real AFLW matches, using the StatSmith scoring formula tailored specifically to the women's football game style. Players from all 18 AFLW clubs are available to pick as defenders, midfielders, rucks or forwards. They have a starting price depending on their statistics from last year, and will increase or decrease in value each week depending on their recent scores. Assemble your team using the starting salary cap to pick 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, 1 ruck, and 5 forwards on your field alongside 5 additional players from any position on your bench. Appoint a captain to score double points and vice-captain to score double points if your captain doesn't play. Your team's score is the sum of all StatSmith points scored by the players on your field and is recorded after all AFLW matches are completed for the round. After Round 1, you are given 3 new trades each round to strategically change your team throughout the season. Unused trades roll over to the next round, up to a maximum of 9 trades at any one time. Create or join private leagues with up to 8 teams for you and your friends. Leagues will be locked and league fixtures will be generated 10 minutes before the first match of Round 2. After this point, the Match Day page will display head-to-head match-ups, your league fixture, and the league ladder. Leagues with 2-5 teams will have a Grand Final in Round 12 between 1st vs 2nd, whilst leagues with 6-8 teams will have Semi Finals in Round 11 between 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd before a Grand Final in Round 12. Live score updates for players, teams and match-ups will be displayed during the round with rolling player lockouts as each AFLW match starts. StatSmith is an independent fan-made app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the AFL. All player statistics are sourced from afl.com.au before applying the StatSmith scoring formula.
