Dear You: Daily Letters
Letters to Your Future Self
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Write to your future self and seal it for a week, a year or five. When it opens, write back. Lock it with Face ID, print your journal as a PDF. No account, no ads.
Dear You is a private journal app for letters to your future self and daily reflection: open an original letter for today, write your own words back, and seal letters your future self opens on the day you choose. No account, no ads, and you can lock it with Face ID.
A private conversation with yourself, one letter at a time.
A LETTER FOR TODAY
Choose what you'd like: a little encouragement, a moment of calm, a fresh start, courage for something hard, a moment of gratitude, or a surprise. Dear You opens an original letter chosen for it. Every letter ends with one small, doable step and a question worth writing back to. No quote feed, no scrolling.
A LETTER TO FUTURE YOU
Write a letter to your future self and seal it for a week, a month, a year, three years or five, like a private time capsule. It stays locked until its day, even from you, then opens right here in the app. When it arrives, write back and seal the reply for a later you. Letter threads let the conversation with yourself continue for years.
OPEN WHEN
A shelf of sealed envelopes for real moments: can't sleep, doubting yourself, waiting on news, starting over, something finally went right. Open the right one when the moment arrives, and seal envelopes of your own in your own words.
A LETTER FROM YOU
Write back privately to any letter. Gather letters, notes and reflections into Personal Chapters that name the seasons of your life, and find anything again in your searchable private library.
GROWTH WITHOUT STREAKS
Consistency Blooms, gentle monthly recaps, seven guided Journeys and a windowsill plant that grows with your practice. Nothing resets and nothing is taken away. A quiet week costs you nothing.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No analytics. Your letters and notes stay on your iPhone. Lock the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Save a printable PDF of your writing, export everything, or make an optional password-protected backup you keep yourself. Notifications never show your words.
FREE TO START
Your first daily letter, two Open When letters, one future letter waiting at a time, write-back notes, search, Face ID lock, PDF export and backup are free, and everything you open or write stays yours forever.
