YOUR LIBRARY • Home screen with Continue Watching and Recently Added • Browse every movie and TV library on your server • Full drill-down through series, seasons and episodes • Your collections, with artwork • Search across every library at once A PLAYER THAT KEEPS PLAYING CineReel manages a whole fallback chain rather than handing one URL to a video view and hoping: • Starts with the original file untouched, then steps through alternatives if your server or network cannot sustain it • Detects a video your device cannot decode — the black-picture-with-sound case — and switches to a compatible stream within seconds • Rides out brief buffering with growing grace periods instead of throwing an error • Rebuilds the stream at your exact position after a long pause • Reports your position back to your server, so you can stop on the Apple TV and resume on iPad • Skip Intro, Up Next countdown and automatic episode advance • Playback speed from 0.5x to 2x • Subtitles, quality selection, and a layout that reflows for iPhone portrait OFFLINE DOWNLOADS (Cinereel Pro) Keep films and episodes on this device and play them with your server switched off — on a flight, or anywhere without a connection. • Downloads are the original files, not re-encodes • Set how much storage they may use; CineReel removes what you have already watched first, and never removes something you have not started • Optionally delete an item once you have finished it • Off over cellular by default, because these are full-size files • A Downloads screen shows what is stored, what is still arriving, and how much space is in use PROFILES (Cinereel Pro) Separate profiles, each with its own Continue Watching. A profile can be limited to specific libraries, so a child's profile shows only what you chose for it. MULTIPLE SERVERS (Cinereel Pro) Switch between servers — home and a friend's, or a second machine — without re-entering anything. DIAGNOSTICS A live event log with severity filtering, and one-tap export. Every URL is redacted before it leaves the device. PRIVACY Your server token is stored in the device Keychain and is never written to logs or sent anywhere but your own server. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no CineReel servers. Your library stays yours. CINEREEL PRO A single one-time purchase — no subscription — that unlocks offline downloads, profiles and multiple servers, on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV. Everything else is free and stays free. REQUIREMENTS A media server of your own that you can reach from this device, and its address and access token.
