Siddur and Zmanim

siddur daily tefillah, zmanim

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

A complete siddur that works offline — in the tradition of the Ben Ish Hai. The day's text, times computed on your device, and nothing to set up. THE DAY'S TEXT, AND ONLY IT Ya'aleh VeYavo, Al HaNissim, the Ten Days of Repentance, Tachanun, fast days, Chanukah, Purim, Rosh Chodesh: every conditional passage appears on the day it is said, and is gone otherwise. No more deciphering a rubric mid-prayer to find out whether a passage is yours today. FOURTEEN ZMANIM, COMPUTED ON THE SPOT Alot HaShachar, Misheyakir, Netz, latest Shema and latest Tefila (Magen Avraham and GRA), Chatzot, Mincha Gedola, Mincha Ketana, Plag HaMincha, Shkia, Tzeit HaKochavim, Chatzot HaLayla. A built-in solar engine, no server queried. YOUR PLACE, EVEN WITHOUT GPS Pick your city from a list of 240 — France, Israel, French-speaking communities — or let GPS find it. You can also check Jerusalem before you travel: the times show at Jerusalem's own time. THE SERVICES, AND WHAT SURROUNDS THEM Shacharit, Mincha, Arvit. The Selichot from 2 Elul to the eve of Yom Kippur. The Monday and Thursday Torah reading, split into Kohen, Levi and Yisrael. The Rosh Chodesh service set in its place within Shacharit — Hallel after the Amidah, Musaf, then Barchi Nafshi. TWENTY-EIGHT MORE PRAYERS Birkat HaMazon, Al HaMichya, Tefilat HaDerech, Birkat HaLevana, the Omer count, Perek Shira, Shir HaShirim, Megillat Esther, Tikkun Rachel and Tikkun Leah, the blessings of the home and of life's occasions. A TWELVE-MONTH CALENDAR Shabbat, festivals, Chol HaMoed and fasts, each with its entry and exit times, and the week's parashah. REMINDERS THAT EARN THEIR PLACE The evening before each fast, each evening of the Omer, during the Birkat HaLevana window, as festivals approach. Adjustable family by family, and never on Shabbat or Yom Tov. WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT The names you carry in prayer appear on their own at the Refaenu blessing, in all three services. Your personal request, your name verse. None of it ever leaves your device. YOU FIND YOUR PLACE AGAIN Reading resumes where you left it, and any prayer can be bookmarked. Birkat HaMazon, the bedtime Shema and Tefilat HaDerech open in one gesture — through Siri, a shortcut, or Control Center. COMFORTABLE READING Pointed Hebrew or Sephardi transliteration, French and English translation. Adjustable size and line spacing, pinch to zoom, a night light for the ashmoret, light and dark themes. VoiceOver and Dynamic Type throughout. No account, no ads, no tracking, no third-party SDK. The siddur, the times and the calendar all work with no connection whatsoever. One exception: if you ask GPS to find your city, the system queries its geocoding service to name it — picking your city from the list avoids that entirely. Dedicated to the elevation of the souls of Messod, Yitzchak and Maimon, sons of Miryam.

A MISTAKE IN THE TEXT? A wrong nikkud, a missing word, a rubric that does not apply: Settings → About → "Report a mistake in the text". The message goes out with the version and the device already filled in — you only have to describe the mistake, and the correction lands in the next update. The text of this siddur has been proofread. But it runs to 2,464 segments, and you are the one who reads it every morning.
