Phase, taught one step at a time The tutorial now introduces Phase in stages. You watch the meter fill and practise spending it before the game asks you to rely on it. Daily rewards are easier to collect Your daily bonus is clearly marked and easy to tap, and a badge on the menu tells you when a reward is waiting. Aether Prime is within reach The ship returns to the shop at a price you can reach in a session or two.

Beat your best, and now you can see who is next. A new best used to be a number and nothing else. It now shows your global rank and how far ahead the player above you is. For most people that gap turns out to be under ten points. Phase is one control now, not two. Last version gave it a button that appeared only once you were charged, with the meter somewhere else. They are the same object in this version: it sits at the bottom of the screen for the whole run and fills as you take near misses. Also fixed: firing Phase during the tutorial's near-miss lesson used to send you back to the start of it, and claiming a daily challenge could leave your coins looking like nothing had happened.

Phase now has a button. Until now the only way to trigger Phase was a two-finger tap on both sides of the screen. Four out of five players never used it once. There is now a button, it appears when Phase is charged, and it is gone the rest of the time. Also: optional reminders so a run you meant to beat does not get forgotten, and a fix for a crash in the shop. If your coins stopped counting after a couple of thousand in a day that was a bug on our side, and it is already fixed. Nothing to update.

Learning Phase just got easier. The tutorial now gives you a PHASE button. Fill the meter, tap it — no wrestling with a two-finger gesture before you've had a chance to learn what Phase even does. Also in this update: • A cleaner opening. Obstacles no longer crowd your lane in the first stretch of a run. • Faster launch straight into the menu.
