Unlike a plain SSH client, itmux speaks tmux natively. It uses tmux control mode to show your sessions, windows, and panes as first-class UI, so switching context is a tap instead of a memorized shortcut. Command shortcuts • Save the commands you run all the time and fire them with one tap — from the key bar on iPhone and iPad, or the ⌘ popover in the tab bar on Mac. • Scope each shortcut to a single server or share it across all of them. Run in the background • Mark a shortcut "in the background" and it runs detached on the host instead of taking over the pane you're working in. • Backgrounded jobs keep going when you leave the app, close the pane, or even disconnect — you get a notification with the result when they finish. Connections • Pick an SSH private key with a file picker; it keeps working across launches. • Choose a default connection for new tabs. • Clearer connect and failure messages, plus a confirmation before deleting.
