The new Qur'an tab includes the complete Arabic text for offline reading and search by sura name or number (Tanzil Project, CC BY 3.0). Download Mishary Rashid Alafasy's recitation on demand, one sura at a time; after the first download, that sura plays offline. The recited ayah is highlighted. Playback continues in the background and on the lock screen. On iPhone, the qibla compass now reads the device's magnetometer directly. One optional rewarded video unlocks a shared four-hour pass for the Qur'an tab, qibla compass, tasbih counter, monthly table, and missed-prayer tracker; Waqt Pro keeps them unlocked while your subscription is active. Prayer times, the next-prayer countdown, and adhan notifications stay free and are never gated. No ad appears during Qur'an recitation, including in the free version. A new backup code lets you carry your missed-prayer counts to a new phone.

Prayer alerts now actually arrive. The app never asked for the notification permission — all five prayers are on by default, and the request only ran when you switched one ON — so it asks on first run now. An isha that falls after midnight is no longer lost, Umm al-Qura adds its Ramadan half hour, the qibla no longer freezes on some devices, and you are asked which city you are in the first time you open the app. Settings has its own button on the home screen, and a city row.

Your language, at last. Waqt now opens in the language your phone speaks — ten of them — and Settings has a new Language row so you can pick any of them yourself, at any time. Also in this update: • Qibla, Tasbih, the monthly table and missed prayers open for four hours with one optional ad you choose to watch, or stay open for good with Waqt Pro. • Waqt Pro now removes ads as well as adding the living day-cycling sky and the gilded widget face. • The prayer times, the countdown and adhan notifications remain free, with no ad in the way. • Fixes: the subscription screen no longer clips its longest lines, and prayer alerts are rewritten when you change language.
