Your collection stays on your device; if you choose cloud backup, it leaves only end-to-end encrypted. No account required, no ads, no tracking — and if you turn on cloud backup, it is end-to-end encrypted, so nobody at Waffenschrank can read it.
Waffenschrank is a private inventory and range log for people who own firearms legally: sport shooters, hunters, collectors and everyday carriers.
WHY KEEP YOUR OWN RECORDS
There is no federal firearms registry, and a private owner has no federal record-keeping duty. That cuts both ways. If a gun is stolen, nobody else has your serial number: ATF does not take theft reports from private citizens, and police need serial, make, model, caliber and type to enter a firearm into the FBI NCIC Gun File. Insurers ask the same thing on the application — do you have photos, do you keep an inventory list? This is where that answer lives.

WAFFENSCHRANK PRO
The core stays free. Pro adds automatic backup, device sync, scanning instead of typing, automatic target analysis, full ballistics, reloading, PDF reports and multiple showcases — as a subscription or as a one-time purchase.
Waffenschrank keeps records. It is not legal advice, not a compliance service and not a substitute for asking a lawyer or your FFL. The app does not buy, sell or broker firearms, parts or ammunition.

NEW — Discover: a curated catalog of 375 documented firearm models spanning 150 years, from ordnance classics to match pistols. What you own unlocks automatically; what you have shot counts via the range log; mark the rest when you have held it. With progress per category and era – fully offline, nothing leaves your device.
Sign in with Google: a second way into your cloud account besides Apple and e-mail.
CSV import now recognises existing records and never duplicates; the range log migrates via training.csv. The authority dossier lists each gun’s storage location.
NFC tags: tap your cabinet or case, the inventory opens.
Cleaning is now two-stage – a quick one after range day, a thorough one by round count. With special cases for black powder, corrosive loads and suppressors.
Overall length and barrel-with-action as separate fields, so the handgun hint can determine instead of merely warn.
Legal texts for all eleven markets revised and checked against their sources.
App lock expanded: unlock with Face ID (can be turned off), a configurable lock delay, change your PIN directly – plus a rescue export that hands your data back even if the app cannot open it after an update.
