Pilot and interface improvements • Registered Pilots can now change their name once for free. Later changes cost 250 credits. • Changing your Pilot name updates your score history and leaderboard appearances. • Improved the Pilot page with a cleaner account view and squadron summary. • Settings now shows the current app version. • Refined menu alignment and guide layouts for a cleaner presentation. Clearer gameplay information • Updated ship and module descriptions to use clearer threat and weapon wording. • Sentinel’s Armor Plating now clearly explains that it absorbs weapons, while physical obstacles still bypass it. • Breacher’s Barrage and Lancer’s Laser now clearly describe their effect on physical threats. • Ship-price adjustment messages no longer interrupt play.

Balance • NOVA's SHOCKWAVE now fires 5 pulses over 4 seconds, down from 6 over 5. • LANCER's LASER now lasts 6 seconds, up from 5. • BREACHER's BARRAGE now lasts 6 seconds, up from 5. Your guest hanger, your call • Signing in or creating a Pilot account now asks whether to bring your guest progress with you. Merge it into the account, or keep it separate and leave it here on this device — you get the choice every time, whether you sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a callsign and password. • Choosing to merge still shows you exactly what's moving before it moves. • New Pilots get an enlistment bonus: 350 credits on registering. Fixed • A run that placed outside the top 100 showed #101 instead of your real rank, and the total beside it was wrong too. Both now count the whole board. • The same wrong rank turned up next to your best score on the menu and in your Pilot profile. Fixed there as well.

SHIPS ARE NOW HALF PRICE You told us ships cost too much to unlock, and you were right. • Every ship now costs 250 credits instead of 500. • If you already bought a ship, you get 250 credits back for each one you own, added automatically. • Open the game and we'll show you exactly how much you got back. SOUND • Music and effects now resume the instant you return to the game after locking your phone or switching apps, instead of taking a few seconds or staying silent. • Sound effects are no longer skipped after you come back. • Effects landing at the same time no longer cut each other off. LEADERBOARD • The board now opens at your own ranking instead of the top. • New TOP and MY RANK buttons for jumping between the two. • Guests now get one entry each rather than one per run, so the board shows real competition instead of one player's repeated attempts. • Your own row is always highlighted, even if you've changed your callsign since setting that score. • Boards load noticeably faster. ALSO • Rate Starship Chaos from Settings, or after a new personal best. • Fixed the preview row on the game-over screen showing the wrong position on the board.
