• Your library, yours to move — Export everything in one file — snippets, image snippets, menu bar icons and your settings — and open it on another Mac. Text snippets can also go out on their own as CSV or JSON, ready for a spreadsheet. • Keep two Macs in step — Point Meow Clipboard at a folder that already syncs — Dropbox, iCloud Drive, a file server — and your snippets follow you. It stays off until you turn it on, each Mac keeps its own file so nothing clashes, and turning it off never deletes anything. • Nothing leaves without asking — Every way of getting data out now tells you first, in plain words: what is going, where it lands, whether it is encrypted, and that your clipboard history is never part of it. • Files that have gone are marked — A row whose files were moved or deleted is dimmed and can no longer be copied. Clicking one used to clear whatever you already had on your clipboard. • Smaller things — The snippets tab is now called Snippets, because it never included History. A copy you just made reads “Just now”. And Preview no longer appears on rows that have nothing to read.

• CopyCat is now Meow Clipboard — same app, same cat, same everything you have saved — a clearer name is all that changed. Your snippets, groups, history and icons are exactly where you left them. • Drag anything straight into another app — pull a row out of the panel and drop it into a document, an email or a chat box. Images drop in as files. Your clipboard is left untouched, so what you had copied is still there. • Files you copy are remembered too — copy files in Finder and the row brings them back to your clipboard whenever you need them again. Meow Clipboard records only where they are — it never opens them, and nothing inside them is read or stored. • Show only one kind of thing — a new filter beside the search field narrows the panel to links, email addresses, colours, images or files. Handy when you know what you copied but not what it said. • Search that puts the best match first — typing now matches letters spread through an item, not just an exact run, and results are ranked by how well they fit — so the one you want is usually row one, ready for ⌘1. • Read a long copy before you paste it — press ⌘Y, or choose Preview, to open a whole document in a readable window. You can select and take part of it from there.

• Long copies are kept now — copy a whole document and CopyCat keeps it in full for 24 hours, then shortens it so your history stays quick. Anything over 20,000 characters used to be dropped without a word. • You'll be told when a copy is too big — copy something over 2 MB, or an image over 10 MB, and CopyCat says so on the spot, instead of leaving you to find the gap in your history later. • Menu bar icons that move — a new set of animated icons — one runs while CopyCat is watching and reacts the moment you copy. Two of them are free. • The icon tells you when it isn't watching — paused, or copying in an app you've excluded? The icon rests so you never have to guess whether something was saved — as a sleeping cat, or one that's turned away. • Note — search looks at the first few thousand characters of a very long item, so it stays fast with a full history.

• Light, Dark, or follow your Mac — a new Theme setting in General. CopyCat now respects Reduce Motion too: with it on, the menu bar icon rests and the panel stops animating. • One click to skip a password manager — when CopyCat finds one on your Mac, the offer to stop recording what you copy there now acts on it directly — no trip to Settings to tick the app yourself. • Better German and Traditional Chinese — German now addresses you the same way throughout instead of switching between formal and informal, and Traditional Chinese uses one word for a snippet rather than two.

• Password managers are skipped automatically — Apple Passwords and Keychain Access are never recorded, and CopyCat offers to skip any other password manager it finds on your Mac. • Keep any app out of your history — choose apps from a searchable list in Settings, and CopyCat won't even read what you copy there. • See where a copy came from — history rows now name the app you copied from, and you can search by app name. • Bring your snippets back in — the snippets you export can be imported again, for a new Mac or a restored backup. It adds to what you have and skips anything already there.

• No more keychain password requests — CopyCat could ask for your login keychain password every time it started, just to read its own encryption key. It now keeps that key somewhere macOS trusts it to reach on its own, so the request is gone. Your snippets and history are untouched. • Settings you can find — one long list is now three tabs, Appearance, General and About, so the thing you came to change is on screen instead of somewhere below the fold. • Fully translated again — three pieces of text had been showing in English in every other language, including the search tooltip and the icon importer's frame warning. All seven languages are complete.

• Make your own menu bar icon — bring in a GIF, or add frames one by one, set how fast it runs, and watch it play before you keep it. Build as many as you like and switch between them in Settings. • Jump to any tab from the search bar — the name beside the search field is now a menu, so you can go straight to a tab or search everywhere at once. Tab still flips between the two. • Windows stay where you are — opening the welcome guide, the release notes or the image question no longer sends you to another desktop. • Kinder to your battery — a moving menu bar icon now pauses while your display is asleep or Low Power Mode is on.

• A guide to saving images — the welcome guide now spells out exactly which kinds of copying CopyCat can save, from screenshots to Copy Image in your browser, and which ones will not, so nothing is lost by surprise. • The welcome guide is now organized into tabs, and a help button in the panel opens it whenever you want it. • Search and New Snippet now sit together at the bottom of the panel, and the indicator beside them names the area you are searching.

CopyCat now handles images. • Images in your clipboard history — copy a screenshot and it appears alongside your text with a thumbnail, ready to paste back into any app. • Image snippets — give an image a name and keep it for good. Searchable, pinnable and groupable like any other snippet. Drag one straight into the editor, or save it from your history. • Images are stored in their own encrypted place on your Mac, kept apart from your text, and never leave your device. Keeping them is entirely optional and can be switched off at any time in Settings. • A new What's New window shows you what changed after each update, and can be reopened any time from Settings. • Right-click the menu bar icon for Settings, What's New and Quit, without opening the panel. • The panel now closes reliably when you switch apps, take a screenshot or change Space.

• Settings now opens on the desktop you are already using, instead of switching you to another Space. • Fixed: choosing a background image for the panel had no effect. • Settings now shows the app version and build number.

• Personalize your menu bar icon: choose a paw, cat or clipboard, keep it still or let it animate when you copy — or upload your own image. (Extra designs and custom uploads are optional one-time purchases; the default paw and all animations are free.) • Search everywhere: press Tab to switch between the current tab and searching every snippet and clipboard item at once. • Reorder your groups by dragging. • A quick welcome guide, available any time from Settings, plus an option to launch CopyCat at login. • Refinements and fixes throughout.
