Select XI is a football tactics board that does one thing properly: it lets you build a lineup and make it look good.
Pick a formation, drag your eleven into exactly the shape you want, name them, number them, and export a board you are happy to put in a group chat, a team channel or a match preview.
BUILD IT THE WAY YOU SEE IT
- 78 formations from 5v5 through 11v11, from 4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1 to small-sided and youth shapes
- A freeform option in every format, for a shape that is not on the list
- Drag any player anywhere on the pitch; the position label follows them
- Two tactical phases on the same squad: In Possession and Defensive
- Copy one phase onto the other and adjust from there
- A full substitutes bench, with each sub linked to the starter they cover
- Squad numbers that default sensibly by position, and change when you want
DRAW WHAT YOU MEAN
- Arrows for runs, presses and rotations, in solid, dashed or dotted
- Straight lines for shape, distances and passing lanes
- Drop the ball anywhere on the pitch
- Undo and redo the whole board, not just the last thing you touched
WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
The entire builder is inside the app. No sign-up, no loading spinner on a touchline with one bar. Open it in airplane mode and everything still works. You can sign in with your email if you want to manage your Select XI account from your phone, but nothing in the app needs it.
EXPORT AND SHARE
Export a clean PNG straight into the iOS share sheet: save it to Photos, AirDrop it, or send it to Messages, Mail or anywhere else. Or publish a lineup to the Select XI community and share a link that opens on any device and previews the board itself.
