General Contractor Tycoon Sim

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

A proper introduction for new players: five cards at the start, a next-step card on the home screen, and help the first time something trips you up. From a small local builder to the largest contractor in the world. BUILD EMPIRE is a turn-based management simulation about running a general contractor. Win work in the bid room, run the sites, grow the company, and climb to No.1 in the world rankings. ■ How it plays 1. Bid - price the job and win the contract 2. Build - advance the month, progress the work, collect payment 3. Manage - grow departments, hire people, raise finance 4. Rank up - build a track record, clear the stage requirements, reach the top ■ Features - Fully turn-based. Nothing moves until you press "Next month". No timers, no waiting. - Projects from detached houses to skyscrapers, airports and maglev lines, up to national megaprojects and space-scale works - Every project type has its own rendering, so you can see what you are about to build - Sites change as the work progresses: cleared ground, excavation, foundations, steel frame, cladding, completion. Bridges, tunnels and offshore wind each build in their own way. - Bidding tactics driven by technical score, standing, sales strength and your relationship with the client - Choose how your people work. Closing the site two days a week costs money and time, but morale and retention rise, and you avoid the overtime breaches that end in debarment from public bidding. - Department levels, hiring and staff traits, bank finance, investment projects, M&A and overseas expansion - Everything you finish stays in the city on the home screen, built as itself - your own skyline takes shape. - Name your own developments and hold them: rent comes in every month, for as long as you own them. - A completion report every month. The real test is how far you beat your planned profit. - World rankings by revenue, profit and technical score ■ For players who - New to this? Five cards explain what you can do when you start, and the home screen tells you your next step. - Enjoy management sims with real numbers behind them - Are interested in construction and city building - Want a game they can move forward one month at a time ■ Pricing Free to play all the way through, with a banner ad. The one-time Premium (deep management) purchase removes ads and opens up: - Subcontractors - build your trade base, sign exclusive partners, negotiate rates and payment terms - Superintendents - grow them on site, post a job ad to hire in, and reassign them all in one go - Grade-based pay - set monthly pay and bonus months for each grade yourself - Shares and listing - hold client shares and float the company to raise capital beyond the banks No subscription. One payment, yours for good. Build your empire.

A proper introduction for new players You asked for more of a tutorial. Three things are new: - When you start a company, five swipeable cards explain what the game actually lets you do (re-read them any time from Menu → What you can do) - The home screen now shows your next step, in five stages: bid → next month → watch the site and the money → grow departments → hire, because people are what let you run more sites - The first time something trips you up, you get one short explanation: losing a bid, mobilization money being tied up, and a site going into the red The screen no longer jumps back to the top Investing, trading shares and working with subcontractors used to throw the scroll back to the top every time. It stays where you were. Staff no longer pile up in the late game You told us staff pile up late in the game, and that thinning them out by hand is punishing. Headcount never fell when the work did: every leaver was replaced with a new graduate, even far above the right size. People & org now has a staffing policy. Right-size (1) stops hiring into over-strength departments and (2) trims what is still well above the mark through voluntary redundancy. Hold is the default and behaves exactly as before. Assistants: late in the game, train juniors on the big sites You told us that small T1-T2 jobs stop appearing as you progress, leaving juniors with nowhere to learn. You were right: once you reached major-contractor scale there was no site at all a junior superintendent could run alone. Every stage now keeps a few jobs one tier down - and there is a second way to train them. A spare superintendent can be attached to a large site, T5 or T6, as an assistant, earning 70% of the lead's experience at that size. The bigger the site, the faster experience comes in, so this beats waiting for small work. Late in the game it is the fastest way to bring a junior on. The site's cost also tightens by 0.6%, and you are never penalised for not placing one. People leave every month Alongside normal turnover, idle staff resign of their own accord (morale is unaffected) and short-handed departments lose people to burnout (morale drops). These are people choosing to go, which is separate from the staffing policy above. Neither happens while the firm is still small. Invest in bulk You asked to be able to put a set amount into investment projects in one go. Set a budget, choose the order (highest yield, cheapest first, or largest first), and it invests as far as the budget goes. If you are short of Investment & Dev. staff it hires for the shortfall. You see the count, the total, the extra monthly income and the staff used before you commit. Name your own properties You asked to be able to name the buildings you own. Give a development a name when you break ground, and change it while it is building or after handover. Read past release notes Menu now has Update history, so you can look back at what changed in earlier versions. Fixed - The cash-runway warning only appeared before your first contract. It never showed in the situation that matters most, when work dries up and payroll keeps running. Also in this release - Technology now cuts the crew you need by 1.2% per level instead of 2% - Superintendents and assistants show XP and this month's gain on the site card (experience builds every month, not at handover) - American construction terms throughout the English build, and the screens that only broke in English are fixed
