Five seconds of light. Then the tower goes black — and you still have to climb it.
5 Seconds of Light is a precision climber about spending light well. The level shows itself once, briefly. After that you have a torch with a few pulses in it, a shelf of perks you've earned, and a long way up in the dark.
It isn't a memory test. It's a game about what you light, when you light it, and what you're still carrying when the floor gets nasty.
TWO WAYS TO PLAY
LEVELS — climb as deep as you can. Earn coins, buy checkpoints, and
upgrade your torch permanently.
SPEED RUN — five fixed towers, from Quick Dash to The Summit. Same
layout for everyone, every time. Pure execution against the clock, with
a Game Center leaderboard for each.
CLIMB
Every tower is different — narrow catwalks, wide decks riddled with holes, floors that crumble under you, spikes overhead as well as underfoot. Ride shuttling platforms and vertical lifts across gaps no jump can clear. Every seventh floor the lights barely come on at all.
SPEND
15 perks, earned as you climb and drafted from glowing gates mid-tower. Light your own way with Ember, throw a beam from the door with Guide Beam, flood the whole floor with Echo Flash — or go for Shield, Extra Life and Blunt Spikes and simply survive what you can't see. Perks are worth nothing on the shelf. Use them.
UPGRADE
Coins earned on the climb buy a longer torch, more pulses, a wider beam, stronger perks, and checkpoints so a deep run doesn't start from the bottom every time. Everything is earned by playing — there's nothing to buy with money except removing ads.
