What's New in 2.3 A new look, built for daylight. Xenolog has been redesigned as light field equipment: a bright, clean interface you can actually read outdoors with the phone held up to the sun. The scanner, the Mainframe and every screen between them are now high-contrast and glow-free. Sharper scanner. The viewfinder no longer dims the camera feed, the screen brightens automatically while you scan, and the controls hold up against a bright sky and a dark hedge alike. Specimen cards, refined. Cards now wear a graphite face with a cleaner serial stamp, and Secret specimens finally show their full readings and DATA on the card. New agent forms. Ten redrawn portraits to choose from when you enlist — or switch to later. Recruitment, reworked. Onboarding is one continuous flow with a new opening sequence and a redrawn briefing. A fresh icon. Plus fixes to the location primer, the tab bar, and dozens of small contrast and legibility improvements throughout.

BAGGED IS NOW XENOLOG. You have been selected for planetary survey duty. Everything you've earned carries over — your cards, your serial numbers, your level — it all just reports to the Survey now. Cards are specimen records, catches are scans, quests are directives from the committee, and your rank is a clearance grade. Also in this version: • THE ABDUCTION — capturing has a ceremony now. The background drains away, your specimen settles into its frame, and the beam takes it: lifted out of the photograph in front of you, landing glow burning on the ground. • THE PROJECTOR — every specimen record can project a hologram: the card lays itself flat and stands your animal in the light, cut from the exact photo you took. Every tier is on the guest list now, not just the rare ones. • RECRUITMENT — a new opening. The Survey briefs you, the terms tick their own box, and you choose the form you'll file your reports in: ten to pick from, Kesh to Grey. • AGENT RANKINGS — a proper podium for the top three, your row pinned wherever you stand, and a second board ranking species logged, not just DATA. • DIRECTIVES — every objective now says exactly what it asks, and completing one shows the box being ticked. • NO RECORD — the mainframe withholds what you haven't found, everywhere, honestly. The catalogue stands at 1,135 species. Earth remains incomplete.

Levels are here. Every catch now earns XP, and XP builds a level that never resets. Climb from Plankton to Apex through 34 ranks — Tadpole, Magpie, Stray Cat, Fox, Wolf, Orca — with a proper moment when you reach a new one. - Quests, restruck. Daily and long-term quests now sit on bronze, silver and gold plates, one per row, with the reward on the face. - Holograms in your pocket. Every card projects its animal, and sharing one now sends the card along with it. New collectors are shown how it works during setup. - A new leaderboard. A proper podium for the top three, your level beside every name, and a countdown to the weekly reset. - Your Deck. The Collection is now the Deck, with faster sorting by recency, rarity, number, type and rarity filter. - Fairer scoring. A species pays XP once a day, so the board rewards range rather than repetition. You still keep every card you catch. - Undiscovered animals now open a proper dossier, and card artwork loads correctly after a patchy connection.

Quests, freshly struck. - Quests now come on bronze, silver and gold plates — your progress fills the bar right on the metal. - Completing a quest celebrates with the quest's own plate, confetti and all. - New bronze and silver pins, freshly minted. - Ranking up no longer takes over the whole screen — it pops, showers you in confetti, and gets out of your way. - New collectors get a proper introduction to holograms. - Polish throughout the Quests screen, including a cleaner pin tracker and weekly progress ring.

A big visual update — the catch, the collection, and the chase all got better. • The card takes centre stage. The catch screen was rebuilt: your new card lands front and centre with location, time and match confidence in one clean line beneath it — and saving a card now walks you straight to its slot in the Index, where you watch it settle into place. • Unindexed Animals. Caught something so rare it isn't in the Index yet? It now has a home — a new section in your Collection holds every pending discovery, full card and photo included. When a future update adds the species, your card automatically becomes official, earns its number, and takes its place in the Index. • Quest Pins become medals. Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond — five beautiful new medals, shown on your profile, the leaderboard and the quest ladder. • A cleaner leaderboard. The top three now stand on flat cards with gold, silver and bronze rank chips, each player wearing their medal. Bagged+ members show a gold seal on their avatar, here and on their profile. • Your standing, on your profile. Your leaderboard position now sits right under your rank progress, with your medal beside it. • A fresh welcome. New onboarding: Discover. Track. Collect. — plus a real capture, start to card, playing on the very first screens.
