The map lies down with you Turn the phone sideways and the map follows: the instruments rearrange themselves and nothing covers anything. It also opens on the map style you left it on. Wind, next to your speed Wind is its own dial now, right above the speedometer, because you read the two together. Routes that start wherever you want A route no longer has to begin where you're standing: start it from a saved waypoint, or by tapping the map. And if you're not coming back to launch, tell it the route runs A to B. A clean share card The two black bands that cut across the satellite photo are gone. Your name and the footer no longer sit under Instagram's header or its reply bar. Also in this version • Recording no longer loses stretches of the track when the phone suspends the app — the gap that left a flight cut across in a straight line. • Units in Settings: metres or feet, km/h or mph, without having to know the gesture. • Dates appear in the app's language, not the phone's. • The emergency screen gives your altitude in your own units. • Height above ground no longer shows negative numbers while you're on it. • Stopping a flight is a small round button, not a red wall.

Plan the lap, then share it Build a route by tapping the map: fly over the hills or the beach you like and come back to where you took off. Save it with a name and fly it again any weekend. Before you launch, GoFlyn works out every leg with its own wind: ground speed, time, and — if you track fuel — whether you land with your reserve still untouched. No tank? Then it tells you whether the lap fits before dark instead. Send a route to your group as a link, or as a Google Earth file for pilots who don't have the app. Waypoints Save your landing fields, launches and fuel stops. Distance and bearing to each one, live. Free flight, without the engine clutter If you fly without an engine, everything about fuel disappears, and the engine and trike are greyed out. Nothing is deleted: switch your style back and it all returns. Smarter automatic recording GoFlyn now waits for a real climb before starting a flight, so the drive to the field no longer triggers one.
