Safina: Shia Islam for Kids
Quran stories, duas & games
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Safina is a joyful, Duolingo-style journey through the basics of Shia Islam, built for kids ages 6-12.
The name comes from the hadith of Safinat al-Najat: "My Ahlul Bayt among you is like the Ark of Nuh; whoever boards it is saved." The whole app is built around that image - your child's ship sails from island to island, and every completed lesson moves the journey forward.
FIVE MINUTES A DAY, A LIFETIME OF IMAN
Short, bite-size lessons - done before attention runs out, perfect after school or before bed.
PLAY, NOT LECTURES
Matching, ordering, letter tracing, and more - seven kinds of hands-on games, zero worksheets.
MISTAKES COME BACK UNTIL THEY STICK
Missed questions return at the end of every lesson, so learning actually sinks in.
STREAKS BUILD THE HABIT
Kids come back on their own - no nagging required.
EVERY STORY READ ALOUD
Warm narration so even pre-readers can sail solo.
WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN
Islands cover beliefs (Tawhid, the Prophet and his family, the Imams), practices (wudu, salah, fasting, Hajj), the stories of the prophets, Quran and duas, and everyday akhlaq like honesty and kindness - all told with warmth, never fear. Karbala is told with honesty but without graphic detail; the return of Imam Mahdi (aj) is framed with hope. Along the way, kids trace the full Arabic alphabet one letter at a time, each one tied to a word from their own lessons.
BUILT FOR FAMILIES, BUILT FOR TRUST
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking of any kind
- All progress stays on-device and in your family's own private iCloud
- A parental gate (a simple math check) stands between kids and any purchase or outside link
Lessons follow mainstream Twelver teachings. Where practical rulings differ, Safina follows the rulings of Ayatollah Sistani.
