iPhone
The complete practice companion for Hindustani classical music students — tabla, tanpura, swar mandal, and metronome, all in one app.
Real tabla sounds generated on your device, no internet needed. Practice any of 16 taals: Teentaal, Tilwada, Sitarkhani, Chachar, Dhamar, Jhoomra, Deepchandi, Ektaal, Chautaal, Sooltaal, Jhaptaal, Keherwa, Bhajani, Rupak, Dadra, and Dakshinatya Rupak.
Each taal has multiple authentic style variations. Set any tempo with just a tap. Transpose to all 12 keys so the tabla pitch matches your instrument.
PROGRESSIVE TEMPO TRAINING
The best way to build speed. Set a start BPM, end BPM, step size, and measures per step or Time per step - Tirkit advances the tempo automatically with zero gap between steps. Great for Practice building up stamina without interruption.
Dual TANPURA
Sample-based dual tanpuras drawn from real recordings. Three tunings: Sa-Pa, Sa-Ma, and Sa-Ni. Adjustable cycle length. You can run two independent tanpura instances simultaneously for a fuller drone.
SWAR MANDAL
A harp-style strum drone tuned to your raga. Choose from 30 preset ragas across 10 thaats — including Yaman, Bhairav, Bhimpalasi, Darbari Kanada, Bhairavi, Marwa, Todi, and more. Or build a fully custom swara set. Select aroha, avaroha, or alternating direction. Adjustable interval and strum duration.
METRONOME
Precision click with 1–16 beats, per-beat accent control (muted / soft / medium / loud), and a built-in countdown timer. Practice mode advances BPM
automatically — works the same as tabla progressive training.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Trial Period terminology change:
Free trial period now counts only the days you actually practice. Five minutes of playback makes a day count, and days you skip cost nothing. Tap the ⓘ on the trial banner for the details.
Lock-screen controls:
Pausing from the lock screen or Control Centre now holds your session, and play picks it up exactly where you left off: tabla, tanpura and all.
Smoother tanpura:
The tanpura drone no longer sounds like it restarts every half-minute.
Fixes:
Fixed a case where the app could stop responding to taps after the welcome tour. General stability improvements.
