Roam is a native Kubernetes app for your Mac. Instead of making you hunt through resource lists, it starts from what matters: which apps are healthy, what needs you right now, why it broke and what changed before it did.
WHAT NEEDS YOU
• Home shows the problems worth your time — crash loops, pods that can't be scheduled, nodes under pressure, failing jobs, expiring certificates — each with a next step.
• Diagnosis reads events, container state and the last log lines, and tells you in plain words why a workload is failing and what to check next.
• Health checks score reliability, security and efficiency, and flag what blocks your next Kubernetes upgrade.
APPS, NOT JUST RESOURCES
• Deployments, StatefulSets, Services and Ingresses are grouped into apps, with a live map of how traffic flows and what each app depends on.
• Scale, restart, roll back and edit YAML with a diff before you apply. Clusters marked Production ask you to confirm by name.
LOGS, SHELLS AND FILES
• Live logs with search, regex, severity highlighting and the previous run of a crashed container; merge logs across pods.
• Open a shell in any container, browse and download files from a pod, and split logs and shells side by side in the Workspace.
WHAT CHANGED
• Every change to your cluster is recorded while Roam runs — who made it, from kubectl, Helm or Argo CD, and the exact diff. Revert a change in one click.
EVERYTHING ELSE
• Nodes: cordon, uncordon and drain (respects PodDisruptionBudgets, warns about pods that won't come back).
• Traffic: Services, Ingresses (open hosts in your browser), EndpointSlices and a NetworkPolicy tester.
• Config and secrets (values stay hidden until you reveal them), storage, RBAC matrices and "can I?" checks.
• Helm releases: history, values diff, upgrade, rollback and install — Helm is built in.
• Metrics from metrics-server or Prometheus, with rollouts and warnings drawn on the charts.
• cert-manager and Prometheus Operator views, and an Explorer for any kind, including your CRDs.
• Port forwards, all your clusters on one screen, search across clusters, and compare an object between clusters.
• Keyboard-first: ⌘K to jump anywhere, and tables you can drive with arrow keys.
CONNECT THE WAY YOU ALREADY DO
Import a kubeconfig, paste one, use a service-account token, or sign in to Amazon EKS, Google GKE or Azure AKS directly. SSH bastions are supported.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
There is no Roam server. Roam talks directly to your Kubernetes API servers, credentials are encrypted with a key held in your macOS Keychain, and nothing about your clusters is collected or sent to us.
OPTIONAL AI, BRING YOUR OWN
Roam AI can explain an incident or a finding using a model you choose — a provider you sign up with yourself, or a local Ollama. It is off until you configure it, and values that look like secrets are redacted before anything is sent. Roam AI is not available on the China mainland App Store.

• Interface size (Settings → General): text, icons and spacing get larger or smaller together. ⌘+ and ⌘− change it too.
• Connect or disconnect each cluster in Settings → Clusters. A disconnected cluster stays offline until you connect it again.
• Drag clusters to reorder them in Settings → Clusters, or use ↑ ↓ on the handle.
• Live lists receive only what changed, and each screen loads when you first open it.
• Shells and port forwards to clusters behind an SSH bastion go through the tunnel.
• YAML previews no longer show Secret values.
