Two glowing blobs drift toward each other. Their outlines breathe and wobble. They merge. A mystery blob pulses where they collided. What levels will you resist? Hue Mix Blob is a colour perception game built around one question: when two saturated colours combine, where does the result sit? Two organic blobs materialise on a dark canvas. They are not flat circles — their outlines slowly undulate, each one a different living shape with its own breathing rhythm and wobble pattern. A coral blob pulses on the left. A violet blob drifts on the right. As they approach each other, a bridge of colour forms between them, thickening as they converge. They merge with a flash of white light. A single blob appears where they collided, pulsing gently, a question mark at its centre. Below: four colour swatches. The player has seconds to identify the result. Every puzzle is generated from the result colour backward. The result is always chosen with high saturation and medium brightness — vivid, never muddy, never grey. The two input colours are then mathematically derived by applying symmetric shifts around the result: if the result is R and one input is R plus delta, the other is R minus delta, so their arithmetic mean equals R exactly. This guarantee means the game never produces a disappointing mix. The merged colour is always beautiful. The player is always choosing from options that are genuinely different from each other. Three difficulty modes. Easy gives eight seconds and four swatches whose wrong answers are clearly distinguishable from the correct one. Medium gives five seconds and wrong answers that are subtly shifted in hue or lightness — requiring genuine colour discrimination rather than rough approximation. Hard mixes three blobs instead of two, gives four seconds, and presents six swatches whose wrong answers are within twenty to forty RGB units of the correct answer. A player who consistently passes Hard mode has developed the trichromatic sensitivity of a trained colourist. The game tracks consecutive correct answers as a streak, multiplying the score bonus. A coral-plus-violet player who answers correctly eight rounds in a row earns three times the base score on every subsequent answer. Losing the streak resets the multiplier to one. This creates a genuine tension between confidence and caution: the correct swatch must be tapped quickly to maximise the time bonus, but a wrong tap costs the entire streak. Ten rounds per game. The last round is always the most visually striking combination of the session. After ten rounds, the player's score and best score are shown against a grid of the ten result colours — a personal colour palette built from what they identified correctly.
