New: two optional packs for grown-ups — More Animals, twelve more friends for the Animals tab, and Dinos, twelve friendly dinosaurs with their roars. Plus sharper pictures for nine animals, bigger pictures in the listening game on iPad, and small fixes and polish throughout.

New: Who Says That? — a gentle listening game on every tab. Hear a sound, find the picture, and collect stars. Grown-ups can now see every pack, share Tappy Sounds with a friend, and leave a rating from the grown-ups area. Plus small fixes and polish throughout.

New: an optional Colors & Shapes pack for grown-ups to unlock — 12 colors and 12 shapes, each with a photo of something that is one. Plus small fixes and polish throughout.

Sharper pictures on the big card. Steadier taps on iPad. Smaller, smoother, and easier to read.

Smoother scrolling through the picture grids. A better fit on iPad, and in landscape on any device. Fresh sounds for the ball, fire truck and train.

Twice as much to explore, and a smoother tap. • The Things tab now has 24 items — buses, boats, tractors, rockets, trumpets and more, each with its own sound • Every letter now has its own picture • Bigger, clearer layout on iPad • Smoother tapping, including when little hands rest on the screen • Steadier sound during "Play All"

Fixes and polish, including two problems that could stop the app responding properly. • Taps now work even when a hand is already resting on the screen — little ones often hold the edge while they play • Fixed sound cutting out partway through "Play All" • Bigger, clearer layout on iPad, with the artwork and letters scaled for the larger screen • The guitar in ABC and Things is now a real wooden acoustic guitar • Tidier title and buttons across the top

Every spoken word has been re-recorded with a warmer, more natural voice, and the pacing has been tightened so letters and words no longer pause awkwardly. • Sound now plays even when your phone's ringer switch is set to silent • "Play All" keeps the screen awake, so hands-free listening no longer stops on its own • New "Letter phrases" setting: have ABC say just the letter, or the full "A is for Apple!" • Letters are much larger on the big card • Your Grown-ups settings are remembered between visits
