New: Yeti Chase. He waits a few hundred metres down, then comes after you. Spin off kickers, grab snowflakes and bank boost to stay ahead — or just freeride. Ride a golden-hour mountain on your wrist — and try not to wake the yeti. Alpine Drift is a 3D snowboarding game built for the Apple Watch. The whole descent runs on the watch, with no phone required: hamlets, tree runs, rocky pitches and open alpine roll past while the sun sets, the stars come out and the day turns over again. TWO WAYS TO RIDE Yeti Chase — a few hundred metres down, the yeti is waiting beside the piste. He roars as you pass and comes after you. Crashes and slow lines let him close in; clean riding keeps you ahead. He gets faster the longer the chase runs, so every run ends, and the card shows how far you got and your best trick. Freeride — the original endless descent. No yeti, no finish line. Rest a finger on the screen when you want to stop. SPIN OFF KICKERS Ride over a kicker and you're launched — the faster you hit it, the bigger the air. In the air the crown spins you and a tap grabs the board. Land it straight for a 360, an Indy 540 or better; land sideways and you bail. BOOST IS HOW YOU ESCAPE Tricks, snowflakes and near misses bank boost. While it lasts you tuck and cut through the air, which is what actually outruns the yeti. A crash spends it all. CARVE WITH THE CROWN Turn the Digital Crown to set your edge, or swipe across the screen if your hands are full of glove. The crown holds the angle where you leave it; a swipe springs back when you lift off. Tap to hop. THE MOUNTAIN HAS COMPANY Snowboarders, skiers and sledders share the run. Thread past them the way you thread past a fir — a near miss builds your combo — or hop right over them. You cannot hop the yeti. A SLOPE THAT ANSWERS BACK Turning hard across the fall line scrubs speed the way a real edge does, and drifting out of the groomed corridor bogs you down in deep powder. Speed is something you keep, not something you're given. MADE FOR A SMALL SCREEN Firs, cottages, snowmen, kickers, snowflakes and other riders are placed procedurally, so no two descents are the same. Everything is drawn by a renderer written for this watch-sized screen, and the game quietly trims its own detail to hold a smooth frame rate on your wrist. No accounts. No ads. No in-app purchases. No internet connection — ever. Your best distances are saved on your watch and nowhere else.

Yeti Chase. A few hundred metres down, the yeti is waiting beside the piste. He roars as you pass and comes after you — crash, and he closes in. Every chase ends with a card: how far you got and your best trick. • Kickers: ride over one to launch, turn the crown to spin, tap to grab. Land a 360, an Indy 540 or better. • Snowflakes hang in lines down the piste and in arcs over every landing. • Tricks, snowflakes and near misses bank boost. Tuck and pull away. • Freeride is still here: the endless ride, no yeti. Your old best distance carries over.
