When TachoClear is the only app in the Dynamic Island, it now tells you when a limit has passed: a stop sign and the time since, instead of a red timer counting up. While you drive, it counts down to your driving limit. Driving and other work are never shown longer than you actually did them. 4 hours 29 minutes 40 seconds of driving now reads 4h29m40s, not 4h30, the same way breaks already do. A clearer TachoClear Pro page that opens with what Pro unlocks. Between shifts, Today shows your free shifts left and what Pro adds.

New: switch from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. While you're on shift, Driving, Break and Other work buttons sit on the Lock Screen card and the expanded Dynamic Island, so once you're parked you can switch without leaving your navigation app. A locked iPhone asks for Face ID first, and you can turn the buttons off in Settings. Or ask Siri: "Start my break in TachoClear". A simpler Today while you're on shift. Driving, Break and Other work are pinned at the bottom of the screen: one tap switches, with Undo for five minutes if you hit the wrong one. On EU-style rules, your driving so far today and the time until your break is due sit above the main countdown. Coach private hire and tours within the UK: the rules guide now points to EU-style rules with Passenger, in line with GOV.UK. The Daily driving limit alert is now on by default: it warns you before your driving time for the day runs out. Change it, or how early it warns you, in Settings > Alerts. Fixed: on evening shifts, the Working Time "Stop working by" time no longer shifts by a minute while you watch it.

New: widgets. Add TachoClear to your Home Screen or Lock Screen to see your next deadline while you are on shift, and when your next shift can start between shifts. Tap it to open Today, or to start a shift when you are ready. Breaks and rest are never shown longer than you actually took. A break of 44 minutes 40 seconds used to read as 45 minutes; now it shows 44m40s, and times are rounded down to the whole minute. When TachoClear shares the Dynamic Island with another app, its small view now counts down to your next driving limit while you drive. Drive Detection fixes: a detected stop no longer overwrites a break you tapped as you pulled in, and a drive that carries on after a refused switch is still logged.

A faster start for new drivers: tell TachoClear what you drive and when your first shift starts, and it takes you straight there or reminds you once. New to tachographs? See a sample day first. Between shifts, Today now shows your next shift: the recommended start, how much you can drive next shift and the driving you've used this week. Driving a van to Europe? Since 1 July 2026, vans over 2.5 tonnes carrying goods on international journeys can come under the EU-style rules. The new van check asks three questions and tells you which rules cover your work.

More accurate weekly rest and compensation tracking, including after a holiday. If your records can't confirm a weekly-rest figure, TachoClear now says so instead of guessing. Better VoiceOver support for Today and Planner, plus reliability improvements.

Fixes an issue in 1.1.3 that stopped the app's usage statistics reaching me which I use to actually find out whats useful inside the app, what features are used most and just as important what isnt, dont worry it tells me nothing about you :) Nothing else changes for you.

Share ideas and feature requests anonymously from Today or Settings. Drafts are kept if you close the form or lose your connection, so you can return and try again. As a solo developer I really appreciate any and all feedback, tell me what features you need or any bugs I might have missed.

Fixed a crash that could close TachoClear immediately after opening it. Your saved records and five free shifts are unchanged.
