Midiocre is somewhere to work on chord progressions. Pick a key and a mood, generate a phrase, then pull it apart until it sounds like yours. Chords sit on a timeline as cards. Lock the ones that work, regenerate the rest, keep going. That's the loop. If you get stuck, Suggest Next offers chords that fit what you already have. Send the whole thing as a link. SHARE gives you one URL with the session inside it: chords, key, tempo, locks, voicings, your saved presets. Send it to someone and they hear the thing, rather than reading a chord chart of it. Nothing is uploaded, the music sits in the link itself, so there is no server holding your work and no account standing between you and it. Move a chord somewhere else without leaving the key. Diatonic spin, functional substitution, modal interchange, conform to scale, smooth. Each one reads the key you are actually in. Voicings can be applied globally and per chord. A voicing is how a chord gets spread across the keyboard. Same harmony, different arrangement. Set one for the whole progression, or detach a single card and give it its own. Save what you like as a preset and use it again. Play it through the built-in synth, or send MIDI to your own instruments. Arpeggiate it, loop a section, change the tempo. Export MIDI into your DAW when you're done, or bounce a WAV. You can import MIDI as well, as long as it's block chords rather than a melody line. There is no sign-in and nothing to collect. Midiocre makes no network requests of its own, and your work stays on your Mac.
