Look up gluten-free pasta in the East Village and they suggest the next thing — the same pasta, open late or for a group, still gluten-free. Worked out on your phone. New here? Pick a theme -- date night, work from a café, budget, dietary and more — and run a real search in one tap.

1.0.6 Bring the whole table. Algorithm updates -- significant improvement in understanding and matching. "Dinner for 8" now changes what you get. Party size shapes the ranking. Cards say what they know about groups: "Group dining: Great" where a place genuinely suits a crowd, and the restaurant's own online booking limit where they publish one. Tap the (i) — limits are the venue's call and they change. Chains: type "McDonald's" and pick the one you meant. Every location, nearest first, with the street. Home screen UI and transition states updated. Notes on a saved spot now have Clear and Done, a new search from results lands in one frame instead of dissolving, and a new score now shows that the emoji is part of it. Small fixes.

1.0.5 Minor algorithm and UI changes.

AESTHETIC/VIBE SEARCH: See the room before you go. Thousands of spots now carry a Vibe — the lighting, the space, the seating, the style — read from real photos of the room, with a short written portrait. Open "Vibe" on any card. Filter by it, too: candlelit, art deco, booths, intimate, speakeasy and more — in Results and in Saved. Also: a new search now starts with clean filters, "Clear filters" clears everything, and "Top" always lands at the top. Small fixes.

Know before you go. Every restaurant now carries a Features panel — the practical facts, gathered from across the web and shown only when confirmed: • Walk-ins, reservations, takeout, delivery, and table service • Outdoor seating — including whether it's covered or heated • Cash-only warnings, Apple Pay, Wi-Fi, noise level, TV • Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, parking, bike parking • Accessibility details: step-free entry, accessible restrooms and seating • Karaoke, trivia, live music, pool tables, private dining, and much more. Filter by any of them. Ask for them in plain English — "dog friendly bars in the east village" — and the matching feature is highlighted right on the card. Your saved spots get the full panel too, refreshed automatically.

Crowd levels, by the hour. Every restaurant now shows how busy it usually gets, for any day and hour — open "Hours" on a card to see the Crowd bar. Ask for it in plain words: "not too crowded tonight", "a bar that's packed on Saturday night". Mealio reads the crowd at the time you're going.
