A shorter, clearer first run. Onboarding is now six full-screen steps, each one a short animation with a headline and a single sentence: welcome, sign in, keyboard, microphone, try it, done. Setup finishes in about a minute. The feature tour still exists, one swipe at a time, under How Cue works in Settings. Copy and clarity fixes throughout, including plainer wording in setup about what Cue keeps and what it does not.

Typing is smoother: quick typing no longer drops or reorders letters, tapping a symbol takes you back to the letters, and the Start Cue key opens the app to begin dictation. Live conversation now lives in the Cue app rather than the keyboard, where it works better.

Fixes dictation from the Cue keyboard. In 1.1.0 the keyboard could not start the microphone, so tapping the mic key reported that recording could not start. Dictation runs from the Cue app again: start a session there, then dictate from the keyboard in any app for as long as it runs. The screen you land on when the keyboard sends you to Cue now tells you whether the microphone actually opened, and how to get straight back to what you were typing.

Dictation now runs inside the keyboard itself. Tap the microphone in any app and talk. There is no session to start first and no trip through the Cue app to get going, and each sentence is transcribed while you keep speaking, so your words land almost as soon as you stop. Meetings. Record a call on your Mac and the write-up is ready by the time you stand up, in the template you picked, with anything you promised on your list. A cleanup level that rewrites rather than only tidying. It keeps every fact, name and number you said, and lays the text out as a list when it really is one.
