Every Sawa ride is on a vehicle the fleet monitors live, with a driver it knows and vouches for. Fare shown up front, start code, trip sharing and SOS on every trip.
Sawa Rides gets you across Kigali with a driver the fleet knows, in a vehicle Sawa monitors, at a fare you see before you book.
KNOWN DRIVERS, MONITORED VEHICLES
Every car on Sawa Rides belongs to a fleet that runs on the Sawa Telematics platform. The driver was identified and given their account by that fleet, and their driving is scored on the platform. The vehicle carries a Sawa device, so the trip is tracked by Sawa itself and not only by a phone.
BOOK IN SECONDS
Type where you are going, or pick from popular places and the places you save. See the route and the estimated time before you confirm.
KNOW THE FARE
Choose your ride and see the fare up front. Pay cash to the driver, and add a promo code when you have one. During the trip the meter is on screen, next to the estimate you were given.
YOUR DRIVER, YOUR CODE
When a driver is matched you see their name, rating, plate and car. Give them your four-digit start code at pickup, so the trip starts with the right person. Call or message them from the app.
TRACKED LIVE
Follow the driver on the way to you, then your route, distance and fare as you go. A notification keeps the trip on your lock screen.
SAFE ALL THE WAY
Every trip is tracked by Sawa. Share your live trip with anyone from the Safety screen, add trusted contacts, and reach emergency SOS, which calls 112 and shares your live location.
AFTER THE TRIP
See the fare breakdown, rate your driver and add a tip. All your trips stay in your history.
Affordable fares on operator tariffs, and nothing to learn: type where you are going and ride.
