Some photos deserve a comment. Hot Take looks at your picture and writes the line that goes with it - then puts it right on the image, ready to share.
Pick a photo. Get five takes, from mild to wild. Tap the one that lands.
DIAL THE HEAT
Mild, Light, Bold, Wild. Heat isn't something you hope for - it's something you ask for. Slide it up and every take comes back meaner. Slide it back down when the photo doesn't have it coming.
TWELVE WAYS TO SAY IT
Funny, Deadpan, Roast, Wholesome, Main Character, POV, Absurd, Newsflash, Museum Label, Soft Launch, Pet Voice, and Documentary. The same photo becomes a joke, a burn, or a nature-documentary voiceover depending on which one you tap.
WRITTEN FOR THE ROOM
Tell Hot Take who's going to see it - Family, Friends, Group Chat, Public Post, Dating, or Work - and the caption adjusts. What lands in the group chat is not what you send to your team.
STYLES THAT SELL THE JOKE
Ten looks you already know: Impact, Caption, Cutout, Story, Marker, Bubble, Headline, Poster, Highlighter and Neon. Drag, pinch and rotate the text anywhere on the photo, stack captions for a top-and-bottom meme, and save the looks you keep coming back to.
NOT FEELING IT?
Remix for five fresh takes. Edit any caption by hand. Change the mode, the audience, the length - the button tells you what you're about to get before you tap it.
THEN SHARE IT
Export the finished image and send it anywhere - Messages, Instagram, the group chat, wherever it's going to land. No watermark.
YOUR KEY. YOUR CAPTIONS.
Connect a Gemini API key from Google AI Studio or an OpenRouter key. Hot Take talks directly to the provider you choose: there is no Hot Take account, caption server, subscription, credit pack, or purchase. Your key stays in this iPhone's Keychain.
Both connections use Gemini Flash. Gemini is the direct route and offers a free tier for eligible models and projects. OpenRouter is useful if you already have a balance there or want a key-level spending limit; it charges a fee when you add credits. Provider limits, prices, and terms apply.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Captions now stick to the heat you pick, follow your mode and audience more closely, and Remix brings genuinely new takes. A failed key save no longer loses the key you already had, and a photo that can't be opened now tells you so.
