Dashcam Vault for Tesla
Sentry footage, kept safe
Only for Mac
$9.99
Mac
New: every camera in one export with time and speed burned in, a driving-data overlay, and encrypted clips from Tesla's viewer now play right in the app.
Your Tesla records everything around your car. Dashcam Vault is the missing other half: a native Mac app that shows you what the car saw, jumps straight to the moment that mattered, and keeps the footage that matters safe before the drive overwrites it.
BUILT FOR THE DAY YOU NEED IT
After a parking-lot dent, a break-in, or a hit-and-run, the footage on your Tesla's USB drive may be the only proof of what happened. Dashcam Vault treats it that way: your drive is strictly read-only (nothing on it is ever changed or deleted), copies are verified byte-for-byte, and every screen speaks plain English.
SEE THE MOMENT, INSTANTLY
• Select any event and it plays immediately, cued just before the trigger, with a red marker at the exact moment of the honk, bump, or detection.
• Every camera in sync on one continuous timeline, sized to fill your window, including HW4 pillar cameras and Cybertruck's seventh camera.
• Click a camera (or press 1 to 7) to fill the window; a fixed thumbnail strip jumps between angles without interrupting playback. Full keyboard triage: arrows, Space, M, K, D.
NEW: DRIVING DATA
Clips recorded on Tesla software 2025.44.25 or later (HW3 and newer) carry the car's own driving data. Dashcam Vault shows it right on the video, in sync: speed (mph or km/h), gear, brake and accelerator, turn signals, steering, heading, and driver-assist state. Older clips simply play without it.
NEW: ONE VIDEO WITH EVERY CAMERA
Export all cameras as a single synced grid video (2x2, or 3x2 for six-camera cars) with the date and time burned into every frame and, when your car recorded it, the speed. Export the whole event or just the minute around the moment, or a single camera at full quality, then share straight to Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or a folder.
KEEP IT SAFE
• One click copies an event to your Vault with byte-for-byte SHA-256 verification.
• Re-plugging the drive auto-recognizes what's already kept, so there are never duplicates.
• Browse your Vault with the drive unplugged, in the car, or long gone. See exactly what each event costs on disk. Deleting only ever moves to the Trash.
UNDERSTAND YOUR DRIVE
• Sentry events triaged like an inbox, with reasons in plain English: "Something came close," "Bump or impact detected," "You honked."
• Drive Health explains what's normal (a nearly-full drive is how Teslas work) and what isn't; corruption is detected and explained calmly, never a crash.
ENCRYPTED CLIPS, HANDLED HONESTLY
Cars running recent Tesla software with "Encrypt Dashcam Recordings" switched on write clips that only Tesla can decrypt, at dashcam.tesla.com. Dashcam Vault detects them event by event, still backs them up byte-for-byte, and includes a 30-second guide to switch encryption off in your car so future footage plays here. For clips already encrypted: download them from Tesla's viewer and drag the downloads (single clips or the Download All ZIP) into Dashcam Vault. They're matched back to their events by date, time and camera, so they play in sync with the other angles, export, and keep like any other footage. Decryption always happens in Tesla's own tool; Dashcam Vault never asks for your Tesla account.
No accounts. No subscription. No uploads. Your footage never leaves your Mac (map tiles are the only thing fetched from the internet).

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
What's new in 1.1:
• Driving data: speed, gear, brake and accelerator, turn signals, steering and driver-assist state shown right on the video, for clips from Tesla software 2025.44.25 or later.
• One video with every camera: export a synced grid of all cameras with the date, time and speed burned in, for the whole event or just the minute around the moment.
• Encrypted clips: download them from dashcam.tesla.com and drag them in. They're matched back to their events and play in sync with the other cameras.
• The camera grid now fills your window at the footage's real shape.
• Fixed: the sample footage no longer shows clips as damaged.
