TipSplit does the two jobs every tipped worker actually has: log what YOU walked
with, and, if you are the one closing, split and pay out the whole room.
Everything is free. No subscription, no ads, no account, no feature caps. It works
in airplane mode because it has no network code at all.

Cash tips, card tips, hours, what you tipped out. One tap to save. No crew to
build first, no roster to set up. Your history and your exports are free and
unlimited, forever.
CASH-OUT MODE, THE PART NOBODY ELSE BUILT
You are holding a drawer of twenties and you owe seven people uneven amounts.
TipSplit walks the room one person at a time: what they are owed, the exact bills
and coins to count out, a big Paid button, and a live header reading "Paid 3 of 7
· $412.00 still owed · $340.00 left in drawer". Paid state survives your phone
dying mid-payout. It shows the whole drawer requirement by denomination BEFORE
you start, so you find out you are short at the beginning, not on the sixth
person. And when you are short, it says so and offers named fixes: split the cash
proportionally, pay some in full and the rest on card, or hand out what is there
and carry the rest as an IOU that shows up on that person's next shift.
SPLIT IT THE WAY YOUR HOUSE ACTUALLY WORKS
• Pooled house: one pot, tip-outs off the top, split across the crew
• Individual plus tip-out: everyone keeps their own tips and owes a percentage of
their OWN sales. See what each server keeps and the pot it forms.
• Support-staff pot: split a collected pot by hours or points. An individual run
rolls straight into it with zero re-entry.
TIP-OUTS THE WAY REAL SHEETS ARE WRITTEN
Percent of alcohol sales, food sales, total sales, tips, or a flat dollar amount,
per role, with two-decimal rates. Every line shows its literal formula: "Bar:
7.00% x $1,842.00 alcohol sales = $128.94". Each line remembers whether it is paid
from the drawer or off card, which is what decides how much cash you actually
have.
MATH YOU CAN DEFEND
Payouts always add up to the pool exactly, to the cent, every time. Leftover cents
go to the largest remainders with a tiebreak seeded by the shift, so the same
person is not quietly enriched every night, and the receipt names who got the
extra cent. Every payout expands to show the formula with that person's own
numbers. Change someone's hours after cash is out and you get a delta view: who is
owed more, who owes back, instead of a mystery new set of numbers.
HISTORY THAT MATCHES YOUR PAYCHECK
A shift saved at 2:04am counts as the night before, a configurable business-day
cutoff no other app handles, and the reason weekly totals usually drift. Totals by
pay period, month and year with your own week start. Per-person running totals.
Tips-only figures are labelled "tips per hour". Add your wage and it becomes
"total hourly" with the wage shown separately. We never call a tips-only number
your hourly.
YOUR DATA CANNOT VANISH
Every save also writes an automatic snapshot. The last 10 are kept and restorable.
A damaged file is never overwritten and never wipes your history: it is set aside
and the newest good snapshot is offered with an explanation. One-tap backup of
everything as a single JSON file, restorable by import, and it doubles as the way
you send house rules to a coworker.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
No accounts. No tracking. No analytics. No ad SDKs. No network code. Your shifts
are files on your phone, and the only way any of them leave is if you tap share.
