Cabling Tycoon: LAN Cable Shop

Crimp RJ45 and learn T568A/B

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Build every cable by hand, read the devices, and hit the day target — the shop is the exam. LAN cables aren't something you memorise. They're something your hands learn. Cabling Tycoon is a shop management game where you build RJ45 cables by hand and sell them to the customers waiting at your counter. Strip the jacket, untwist the pairs, lay eight wires down in order, seat the connector and crimp it — the real sequence, repeated under your thumb. You end up knowing T568A and T568B because you ran a shop, not because you drilled flashcards. ■ Who this is for · Anyone studying for a network technician exam with a hands-on cabling section · Anyone who hesitates every time between straight-through and crossover · New engineers about to pick up a crimping tool for the first time · People who like simulation and tycoon games ■ 1. Cables you actually make Bite the jacket with the stripper, turn it, pull it off. Rub the four twisted pairs apart, then place all eight wires one slot at a time: white-orange, orange, white-green, blue, white-blue, green, white-brown, brown. Push the connector home, squeeze the tool, and one cable is done. Every cable has two connectors, so you build both ends. ■ 2. Straight-through or crossover? The customer is asking "Connecting a PC to a hub — two of them, please." Read the pair of devices in their speech bubble and hand over the right cable. Same layer of device means crossover, different layers mean straight-through — then a hub's uplink port flips the answer, and coupler orders make you combine your cable with the one already in the wall. The cheat sheet is one tap away whenever you're unsure, but the clock keeps running while it's open. ■ 3. A daily target Close the day short of the target and the shop closes for good. The goal sits in a gauge at the top of the screen all day, and with thirty seconds left and the target unmet, the shop starts shouting. Let a customer walk out on a cable that was sitting on your shelf and it costs a heart. String flawless deliveries together and a combo multiplier lifts what every cable pays. ■ 4. Spend the takings on the bench The power stripper cuts the work out of the jacket, the pair separator hands you pairs already untwisted, the insert guide and power crimper shorten the finish. Inspection glasses cut the lockout when you place a wire wrong. A bigger signboard buys a longer working day. What no tool ever does is place those eight wires for you — that part is yours. There are one-shot items too: an energy drink for more time on the clock, focus coffee to freeze the queue's patience, a parts box that doubles the cable on your bench, a megaphone to win back waiting customers. ■ 5. Practice mode Just the cable, with no clock and no customers. It remembers your fastest wire placement and which pin numbers you get wrong most, so you can see exactly where your hands stall. ■ 6. Online record room Post a finished run's takings to the hall of fame. No account, no login — a nickname is enough. ■ Light and quiet · No sign-up, no login · Game records stay on your device · No camera, microphone, contacts or location permissions · English and Korean Open the shop again today, until those eight wires are muscle memory. ※ A learning simulation. For real installations, follow site regulations and the manufacturer's instructions.
