This update brings major improvements to recording, score display, YouTube Live Streaming, sharing, and match setup — all designed to make VolleyCam easier to use courtside. YOUTUBE LIVE STREAMING • Sign in with your YouTube account and stream directly from VolleyCam • Create or select a YouTube broadcast without repeatedly entering technical streaming information • VolleyCam automatically uses your team names, tournament name, and match/set context when preparing the broadcast • Prepare the livestream before the match starts and get the shareable YouTube link in advance • Share the live link using the standard iOS Share Sheet to Messages, AirDrop, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, Mail, and other installed apps • Copy the live link with one tap • Share the link by QR code • Local recording and YouTube Live remain independent • Internet or streaming problems do not intentionally stop your local match recording • Manual RTMPS streaming remains available as an advanced fallback PAUSE / RESUME LOCAL RECORDING You can now pause a local recording during timeouts, between sets, or other delays and resume later while keeping the result as a single saved video file. Paused time is excluded from the final recording duration. If YouTube Live is active, pausing the local recording does not pause or stop the livestream. Viewers continue seeing the live Camera feed, scoreboard, and score updates. NEW COMPACT SCORE BAR A new Score Bar option keeps more of the volleyball court visible. The Score Bar: • Uses a thin, single-line layout at the absolute bottom of the video • Shows Home Team and score on the left • Shows Opponent and score on the right • Shows the tournament name in a separate block • Remains fixed to the bottom edge of the recorded and livestreamed video • Does not overlap Camera controls • Supports adjustable font size so you can balance readability and screen space The original larger Scoreboard remains available. Choose between Scoreboard and Score Bar in Settings. IMPROVED TEAM COLORS • Replaced the previous light blue with a brighter #0041C2 blue • The new blue is now the default Home Team color • Team labels and scores automatically switch between black and white text for better contrast • Dark colors such as black now correctly use white foreground text instead of disappearing into the background • Contrast behavior is applied consistently to Scoreboard, Score Bar, Remote, saved video, and livestream output TEAM NAME FIXES • Fixed Home Team name entry so names containing spaces can be entered normally • Fixed an issue where Home and Opponent names entered during match setup were not reflected on the recording scoreboard • Team names now propagate correctly through the active match, scoreboard, Score Bar, Remote, metadata, and video output EASIER LIVESTREAM SETUP VolleyCam now minimizes repeated data entry. When preparing a YouTube broadcast, it automatically reuses information already entered for the match rather than asking the user to type it again. The goal is simple: Sign in once → Prepare Live → Share → Start Live No need to understand stream keys, ingest servers, broadcast IDs, or other technical YouTube terminology for the normal workflow. RELIABILITY AND POLISH This release also includes smaller fixes and internal improvements for Camera/Remote state handling, livestream readiness, video overlays, sharing, and general stability. VolleyCam remains free for personal and noncommercial community use, with no ads, no watermark, no required subscription, and no recording or export limits.
