Prayer in Hand: Daily Rule

Catholic Rosary & Scripture

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Prayer in Hand brings a quiet Catholic devotional core to iPhone and Apple Watch. Prayer texts and calendar data are bundled with the app, so the core devotional experience works offline. There are no accounts, ads, usage tracking, or generated devotional prose. PRAY THE ROSARY • Follow all four mystery sets and all 20 mysteries. • Read a cited public-domain Douay-Rheims Scripture passage with every mystery. • Choose English, Latin, or side-by-side text where Latin is bundled. • Use the standalone Apple Watch app: turn the Digital Crown or tap to move forward one bead, long-press to step back, and feel haptics at meaningful boundaries. KEEP YOUR PLACE IN PRAYER • Start or resume your rosary with Siri and App Shortcuts. An active rosary reopens at your saved place. • Choose Show on Lock Screen during a rosary to start an optional Live Activity. See your place on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island on supported devices, and step forward or back. Finish the rosary in the app. • Add the rosary widget on Apple Watch to return to your local Watch session. An optional prayer-time setting supplies relevance suggestions to the Smart Stack on watchOS 26 or later; watchOS controls when it appears. • Phone and Watch keep their own progress. No account or cloud service is needed for these features. BEGIN WITH THE DAY • Read a bundled public-domain Douay-Rheims selection for every calendar date. • See the computed liturgical season and bundled celebrations, with United States and Universal calendar options. • Keep traditional public-domain prayers available offline, with free prayer-title search. • Browse bundled chaplet and novena structures. When a proper text is not included, the app says so instead of inventing it. • Review the most recent seven days without a purchase. Choose whether to display practice streak counts. Daily Scripture is a day-by-day collection assembled from public-domain text. It is not the Church’s liturgical lectionary, and the app labels it accordingly. ADD A PERSONAL RULE Personal Rule is an optional paid practice companion, available as an auto-renewing annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. It can: • Schedule devotions by weekday or liturgical season. • Set optional reminders as local notifications. • Open the full practice archive and summaries. • Search the full text of the bundled library. • Attach private notes to prayers and Rosary mysteries. • Add the liturgical-day and practice widget to your Home Screen. No prayer text or prayer flow is placed behind Personal Rule. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Prayer activity, practice history, schedules, and private notes stay on your device. Prayer in Hand has no account system, advertising, analytics SDK, developer-operated service, or CloudKit sync. StoreKit communicates with Apple only to load products, complete purchases, verify entitlement status, and restore purchases. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. The annual plan renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. The lifetime plan does not renew. Ratings & Reviews

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

A quieter daily prayer experience: • Read Daily Scripture in its own focused reader. • Open scheduled prayers directly from Today. • Search prayer titles for free. • Choose light, dark or device appearance, with improved larger-text layouts. • Resume the rosary with the correct saved mysteries. • Review dated practice records and choose whether to show streak counts. • Keep notes safer when cancelling an edit. • See clearer Annual and Lifetime plans, restore purchases from Preferences, and view an introductory first-year offer when eligible. The core prayers and prayer flows remain free.
