Whybird Stories
One why a night

Your child asks why the Moon follows the car.
It's twenty to ten. You've been up since six. You say "we'll look it up tomorrow", and you both know how that ends.
Whybird is already waiting for that moment. One card, tonight's, and nothing to choose.
WHAT COMES AT BEDTIME
A question your child would ask anyway. A story to read aloud, in which Wibou, a small bird who often gets things wrong, goes looking for the answer. And a place to write down what your child made of it, in their own words.
Five minutes, then the phone goes face down.
ASK THEM FIRST
Every card opens on a question for your child, not an answer for you. There's no right answer, and Whybird never scores one. A child who's scared of being wrong stops guessing out loud, and guessing out loud is the whole point.
WHAT THEY SAID
Their answers stay. Not a score, not a list of facts: their words, with the date beside them. A year from now you won't have forty facts about space. You'll have forty evenings, and a five-year-old's theory of why the Moon is shy, in the sentence they used. Your account keeps them, so a new phone finds them again.
NOT A LIBRARY
A pile of stories and a "good luck" is exactly what breaks at twenty to ten. You don't need more options then. You need someone to have decided already.
So we decide. One card a night, ready before you open the app.
ONE WEEK, ONE PICTURE
Seven evenings make a journey. The story runs through the whole week, every evening you read adds a piece to the picture, and on the seventh night it's whole.
WHERE THE JOURNEYS GO
The first week is a gift. After it, four journeys: to the Moon, into a storm, home with a bee, and deep inside the body. New ones arrive in the app on their own, with no update.
FOR THE NIGHTS YOU'RE WIPED OUT
The whole card is there, top to bottom, and nothing on it is an order. Read the question, stop there if it's that kind of night, and the evening still counts.
A tired parent isn't a lesser parent, and nothing in here will suggest otherwise.
NOTHING IS MADE UP WHILE YOU READ
Tonight's card was written and checked long before you opened the app. Nothing is generated while you read, there's no chat, and nothing talks back to your child. Your family's data is stored in France and never sold. No ads, no tracking.
TONIGHT
The first seven stories are free, with no card, and nothing is charged for them. After that, a monthly or yearly subscription opens every journey, or you can buy a single journey for keeps. Every purchase is shared with your Apple family.
Cancel any time in Settings. Every evening you've already read stays yours, subscribed or not.
