Nomad NumeriLand
Math through play, from age 5
$5.99
iPad
Seventeen islands to explore, from counting to fractions. Difficulty adjusts to the child. No ads, no account, no connection — everything stays on the iPad.
NumériLand teaches mathematics to children aged 5 to 7, from kindergarten through first grade, as an archipelago to explore. Each island is a module, and the next one opens once the previous is mastered.
SEVENTEEN ISLANDS, ONE PATH
Counting from 1 to 5, then to 10, 20 and 100. Adding, subtracting, finding complements to 10 and 20. Doubles, near-doubles, skip counting. Comparing numbers, telling tens from ones, discovering the fractions ½, ⅓ and ¼.
Every module has its own animated setting — the farm, space, the ocean, the deep sea, the northern lights, the garden, the city, the kitchen — drawn to make a child want to keep going.
DIFFICULTY THAT ADJUSTS
An exercise that is too easy bores, one that is too hard discourages. NumériLand watches the child's last eight results and adjusts the gap between the answer choices: closer together when they have it, further apart while they are still figuring it out.
A hint appears on its own after two mistakes. The answer is revealed after four tries, with no negative message. Getting it wrong costs time, never the progress already earned.
BUILT FOR A CHILD WHO CANNOT READ YET
Lumi, the mascot, reads every question aloud. One tap and she repeats it. The question also appears on screen, for the child beginning to read or for the parent sitting alongside.
Answers are large numbers to tap. No typing, no menus to figure out.
A PARENT AREA THAT SAYS WHAT MATTERS
Protected by a PIN or by a mental-arithmetic question out of a young child's reach, the parent area shows the success rate per module, the number of exercises, time spent and stars earned. A chart traces the last seven days.
There you set sound, voice, and a time limit per session. You can reset a single module or a whole profile.
UP TO FOUR CHILDREN
Each profile has a name, a character or a photo, and completely independent progress. The child picks their face when the app opens.
NOTHING LEAVES THE IPAD
No advertising. No in-app purchases. No subscription. No analytics. No external links. No account to create.
NumériLand connects to no server and works with no internet connection. Names, results and settings stay on the device. Even the profile photo requires no photo-library permission: the iOS picker runs outside the app and hands it only the selected image.
BILINGUAL
The app follows the iPad's language, French or English, including the voice that reads the questions. Nothing to set up.
REQUIREMENTS
iPad running iOS 17 or later. Works in both portrait and landscape.
