Remind earlier “Remind every day” can start 1, 2, 3, 7 or 14 days before the due date and then reminds you daily until someone ticks it off. Routines in your rhythm Under “How often” you can now choose: every week, every 2, 3 or 4 weeks, or once a month, such as the first Wednesday or the last Friday. Enter the first time once, heyshary works out the rest. A meal plan that fits Choose what you plan: only lunch, only dinner or both, and on which days. “Conjure a week” fills exactly that. Drop-off and pick-up in the overview What the week plan lists under drop-off and pick-up now appears in the overview and calendar: to tick off, in the colour of the person on duty, and with a reminder 30 minutes before. School and cloakroom A new checklist with suggestions from indoor shoes to the home-school notebook. At pick-up, one tap on whatever is missing: it is then set for the next school day with whoever does drop-off. Your own rhythm: recurring tasks can now repeat at any interval. Under "Repeat", "Other intervals" has "Custom interval", for example every 10 days or every 3 weeks. Thanks for the suggestion!

Referral program: now right at the top of "More". Share your personal code with other parents. If a family subscribes to shary through it and stays after the free days, you get a month for free. If you received a code yourself, enter it right when setting up. Routines: can now be created straight from "New" on the Overview, and they have an end time and a place again. Appointments on several days: if something happens two or three times, choose "Also on other days" when creating it. Each day becomes its own appointment. Plus a few improvements to setting up and signing in.

Coming up: in the Overview, the menu at the top right now has one list for all your children. It shows what turns up by itself over the next three or twelve months, such as vaccinations, check-ups and seasonal things. You don't need to enter any of it, it appears on its own in good time. Who did it: routines can now be ticked off for the day and are open again the next day. For appointments shary remembers who took care of them, and "Was it someone else?" puts it right straight away. How it is shared now counts appointments and routines too, so the work nobody else sees becomes visible. More for the first year: shary now also reminds you of the next clothing size, a high chair before solids, the deadlines for a childcare place and a few more things. Only one or two at a time.

Own access for older children: when inviting, you can now connect a child. On their phone they only see their own appointments and tasks, can add their own appointments and read the meal plan. Weather tips: shary checks the weather and says what the kids need. Waterproofs when it rains, a hat and gloves when it is cold, sun cream and a water bottle on hot days, matched to each child's age. And on hot days, a reminder that grandparents drink enough. Turn them on under More, Weather tips. We only look up the rough area, and only through our own server. Countdown: mark an appointment and shary counts down the days, in the overview and large on the kitchen display. The children's birthdays count down by themselves in the last two weeks. On the display it says "3 sleeps to go". The kitchen display becomes a photo frame: when nobody has looked at it for three minutes, it shows your family photos. The photos stay on the tablet. In the month calendar, the colour of the dots shows who is taking care of an appointment. So you see at a glance who is carrying a lot this week.

Over 100 things you no longer have to think about: shary reminds you of check-ups, vaccinations, deadlines and season changes by itself, matched to your children's age and your country. Plus eight new reminders, from photographing the vaccination record to a head lice check after the holidays. New for grandparents and relatives aged 60 and over: reminders for the flu jab, trip hazards, a medication check, drinking on hot days and keeping the mind active together. On hot days shary also reminds you about drinking for children. Weekly routines now have their own tab under Appointments, right next to Calendar and List. The phone calendar subscription lives there too. New: show your own Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar inside shary. For viewing only, and only on your own device. You both see who takes on and finishes what under "How it is shared". That makes visible what usually nobody sees. Smaller improvements: screens close with a clearly visible X, today's appointments that are already over are no longer marked red, and prices show correctly in every currency.

shary is now also available in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish and Turkish. New: relatives. The "Children" tab is now called "Family", and there you can also add parents or grandparents you help care for. Appointments, medication, GP, insurance and emergency contact sit in one place. Reminders for children do not apply to relatives. The emergency sheet now also lists the medication someone takes. "Coming up" is now the Overview: calmer and tidier. A week strip at the top, today first, empty days grouped together and a "+" on every day to add something. The calendar icon shows the whole month. Drop-off & pick-up per child: if the same person does not always collect every child, you can now plan each child separately. New: the kitchen display. A tablet in the kitchen shows everyone the day: appointments, tasks, shopping and who does drop-off and pick-up, large and tickable. You'll find it under "More". For families who care for someone or support a child with a disability: count therapy prescriptions, put "What carers need to know" on the emergency sheet, hide development tips per child, and a template for applications and deadlines. Weekly routines now also show up in the calendar, in the app and in the calendar subscription for your phone. Your support ID now sits right under "More". Tap to copy it.

New under "More": show in your phone calendar. If you like, your appointments also appear in your Apple or Google calendar and stay up to date there, without anyone entering them twice. One tap on "Subscribe in calendar" and you are done. It only works one way: shary stays the source, the calendar shows it. Notes stay in shary. Also: school apps are now importable as calendar events.

An apology first: for some of you the message at the bottom stayed on screen after ticking something off and covered the plus button. Adding a new task then only worked after restarting the app. That is fixed, for every message in the app. Routines can now run daily, not just on one fixed weekday. For the things somebody really has to think of every day: the kitchen, lunch boxes, brushing teeth. New under "More": pets. Add your dog or cat and you can share out walks and vet appointments like everything else. Tasks and appointments now ask "Who is it about?" and list children and pets together. Also new under "More": things to do. A list to browse when you are wondering what to do at the weekend. Write ideas into it, or tick "was an outing" on an appointment and it fills itself. One tap turns any entry into an appointment.

The meal plan has a new button: "Conjure a week". It rolls a whole week out of the dishes you have collected, lunch and dinner, with nothing repeated. Change what does not fit, or conjure again. For the weeks when nothing comes to mind and somebody still asks what is for dinner every day. It needs 14 different dishes in your collection, and the button tells you how many are still missing. The collection fills itself while you write the plan. Recurring tasks can now run on set weekdays: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday instead of the same task three times over. There are also longer intervals, from every 2 weeks to once a year. Nobody has to keep "check the insurance" in their head any more. Setting up now also properly asks where you live, instead of sitting on Austria. That decides check-ups, the vaccination plan and emergency numbers. Anyone living elsewhere may have been getting Austrian dates without noticing. You can change the country at any time under More.

Two wishes from our testers, both done. An appointment can now say how long it takes. One tap on 30 min, 1 h or 2 h is enough, and there is "until ..." for everything else. The list then reads "14:00 until 15:30", so you can see at a glance whether anything else still fits afterwards. Copying an appointment into your own calendar now carries the real length instead of a flat hour. Reminders have also gained a Done button. Your smartwatch shows it too, on Android as well as on Apple Watch: tick things off from your wrist without hunting for your phone. The duration is optional. Appointments without one stay exactly as they are. For each dish you can note what you need for it. Tap an ingredient and it lands on your shared shopping list. Anything already on it carries a check. None of this needs looking after: the list builds itself while you write the plan.

Medications are now sorted by date: whatever expires or runs out first sits at the top. Before your next doctor visit you can see at a glance what needs reordering, instead of going through the list yourself and hoping you did not miss anything. It also turned up a bug. Sorting went by how much stock was left, and entries without a daily dose, which is exactly the emergency medicine with an expiry date, have no stock. So those came out in an order that meant nothing. Now every entry counts by whichever date comes next. Plus two bits of wording: the sharing view says in one sentence what it is for, and the question "who did this" no longer sounds like bookkeeping.

This version tidies up instead of adding things on top. The home screen answers "what's coming up" straight away now. Three filter buttons and "delete tasks" used to sit above it and pushed the first appointment below the fold. The filters only appear when there is really something to sort, and the clean-up entry now sits under the list instead of above it. Adding a child now means a name and a date of birth. Everything else, from allergies to emergency contacts, sits behind "Add more" and can follow whenever you like. During setup the child now comes before the intro slides, followed straight away by the plan for the next twelve months. You see what shary takes on from day one, instead of being told about it. In dark mode the header is no longer green but as dark as the page. In the evening it was the brightest thing in the room. The shopping list is open when you open the screen. Before you saw two headings and not a single item. The invitation for the second person can now be sent straight from under the QR code. If they are not sitting next to you, that used to be hard to find. And if you are on your own in the household, shary asks again about the second person later on. Half of what the app does depends on there being two of you.

Sie hat gefragt, ob shary an Wechselgewand und Hauspatschen zum Kindergartenjahr denkt oder ob sie das eingeben muss. Die Regeln dafür gibt es seit Langem, über achtzig Stück. Man sah nur nichts davon, solange gerade nichts fällig war. Jetzt siehst du es am ersten Tag. Den Fahrplan findest du jederzeit beim Kind unter "Was kommt im nächsten Jahr?". Auf der Abo-Seite steht neu, an wie viele Dinge shary im letzten Monat von selbst erinnert hat. Gezählt wird nur, was die App aufgebracht hat, nicht was ihr selbst eingetragen habt. Das ist die Arbeit, die niemand mehr im Kopf hatte, und genau deshalb fällt sie sonst niemandem auf. Und die Einladung an deinen Partner erklärt jetzt, worum es überhaupt geht, statt nur einen Code zu schicken. Wer sie bekommt, versteht auf Anhieb, wozu er die App installieren soll.
