VersaKey is a customizable keyboard for iPhone and iPad that makes everyday typing more convenient. Access numbers, punctuation, and symbols with a simple flick, without constantly switching between keyboard layouts.
Choose your preferred layout, customize your keys, and adjust the keyboard to suit how you type.

With VersaKey, simply flick down on a key to enter its alternate character. Numbers, punctuation, and frequently used symbols are always within reach.

Bugs make it unusable, but could be perfect if fixed
Mr. John Pork
Like someone mentioned in another review, there is a literal 5 second delay after opening the keyboard before you are even able to type anything. This alone makes it unusable. If that gets fixed, this would be my go to keyboard. Also some features that are shown like moving the cursor by holding the space bar do not seem to work.Other than that, I would love if swipe to type was added. Also if there were a few more settings like the ability to change the speed of the backspace, that would be great. Also I don't even see the option to turn off autocorrect or autocapitalization. If all of these things were addressed, I would switch instantly. The final thing that would be nice, is if you could slightly change the spacing/layout of the keys. This may more be an phone problem than this keyboard in particular, but coming from samsung (the main reason I was looking for this exact type of keyboard) I find I constantly press the wrong keys with my muscle memory from using the samsung keyboard. I've yet to find a keyboard for the phone that has the keys spaced the same way, but if this one could do it, id never look back.

This is the only keyboard you need, dont bother with any other. Too good!!!
Cool but not usable
bonkmaykr
It has some useful features on the toolbar, more than any other keyboard, but it feels unresponsive. Typing sounds do not work, there are no options for haptic feedback, and there is a several second delay after opening the keyboard before you are allowed to press anything. Coming from Jetboard on Android this was almost just what I needed but it’s not there. I’d also like to be able to hold down the QWERTY keys to select their respective symbols, with a configurable hold duration, and be able to drag the backspace to select letters to delete instead of just swiping for a whole word at a time.
Developer Response
Thank you for sharing your experience with VersaKey! I’m sorry about the responsiveness issues you’ve encountered. Improving keyboard performance is a top priority, and I’m actively working on it.I also wanted to mention that the latest update (1.0.7) introduces default symbol selection when long-pressing a key. The long-press duration is also configurable directly in VersaKey’s Settings.I appreciate your suggestions and understand that different keyboards offer different typing experiences. While VersaKey has its own approach to typing on iOS, feedback like yours helps me identify areas worth improving.Thank you again for giving VersaKey a try!
This update introduces French support, expands keyboard customization, and improves typing responsiveness.
• Added French language support and the AZERTY layout
• Enabled remapping of punctuation keys
• Fixed delayed touch feedback near keyboard edges
• Improved long-press selection to default to flick characters
• Redesigned the emoji palette with integrated search
• Made basic Apple corrections the default, with VersaKey’s advanced typing assistance available as an option
