Assignment tells NYC street photographers what's actually worth shooting today.
Every morning it reads the city's official event permits (parades, protests, festivals, concerts, film shoots, ceremonies and more) and ranks them by editorial priority. You leave the house knowing where the real pictures are, instead of scrolling a flat calendar.
WHAT YOU GET
• Today's assignments, ranked by priority: a shot list, not a feed
• A priority ruler that flags the rare, high-impact days worth clearing your schedule for
• Real distance to each location, plus a map that opens straight into walking directions
• Share cards, with the day's light times on them, to post your dispatch in seconds
• A free morning brief and an optional day-before reminder
ALL FIVE BOROUGHS, LIVE
Assignment covers Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island with data straight from the city, refreshed every morning. Filter by impact, category or borough to find exactly the kind of picture you're after.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Pull down on Today to refresh. It answers you now — how many new assignments came in, or that you are already up to date.
The assignment screen is simpler and faster to read. The map appears for every shoot with a known location, and Directions, Calendar and Share sit together in one row.
Accessibility: the whole app follows Dynamic Type, so it scales with your text size, and VoiceOver reads every control.
The coverage log has been retired. It was record-keeping the app did not do well, and it was in the way of the part that matters — knowing where the picture is.
