Play the Chinese aloud or copy it when needed. Photo Translate recognizes Chinese text and objects with Apple's on-device technologies. LEARN THE LANGUAGE YOU WILL USE Practice Mandarin, Taiwanese and Hakka with audio-first flash cards, pronunciation, pinyin or romanization, English meaning and practical examples. Swipe up for the next card, use Auto Play, follow focused courses, save favorites and build learning points. Taiwan slang lessons include clear cultural and usage guidance. WEATHER FOR YOUR CHOSEN AREA See a compact Central Weather Administration forecast on Home. Zhubei, Hsinchu County is the default; you can choose another Taiwan area in Settings. The app does not request your GPS location. OPTIONAL ON-DEVICE AI Download an optional Qwen visual-language model for local photo explanations. Core travel, translation and learning features work without the model. NO ACCOUNT OR SUBSCRIPTION Taiwan HowRU requires no sign-in, contains no in-app purchases and keeps learning progress on your device. Travel details and AI translations can change or be imperfect. Confirm official schedules, names, addresses, medical details and other critical information before relying on them.
