MatchWatch Movies & TV
Couples pick what to watch
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Long summer nights, six subscriptions, zero decisions. That ends tonight. Everyone swipes, the group agrees, you just won movie night.
Stop arguing about what to watch.
Six subscriptions. Zero decisions. That ends tonight.
MatchWatch is how your household picks a movie in about two minutes. Everyone in the group swipes through movies and TV shows on their own phone. When the group agrees on a title, that is a match, and the app throws a little party about it. You just won movie night.
Yes, it is the swipe thing. The difference is you are swiping with someone who has already watched you get through four episodes of Real Housewives you said you were not watching.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Sign in with Apple, Google, or your email.
2. Check off the streaming services you actually pay for.
3. Start a group. Up to six people: your partner, your roommates, the whole household.
4. Everyone swipes. Right for yes, left for no.
5. The first title the group agrees on is your match.
WHAT YOU GET
Availability badges on every title, so you can see which of your own services has it: Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Paramount+. You only swipe on things you can actually watch.
A shared watchlist the whole group can add to.
Picks for tonight, for when the takeout is fifteen minutes out and nobody has decided.
A nudge for whoever has not swiped yet, and a push notification the second a match lands.
It works offline. Keep swiping with no signal and everything syncs when you are back.
WHAT IT IS NOT
MatchWatch decides what you are watching. It does not play it for you and it does not sync playback between two homes, which is what a watch-party tool is for. It is the part between opening six apps and hitting play.
FOR THE WHOLE HOUSEHOLD
Groups go up to six, so it covers roommates and family movie night, not just couples. Everyone gets a swipe, and everyone can see what the group has already matched on.
THE HONEST BIT
Free. No ads. No subscriptions. No in-app purchases. No swipe limits. You do need an account, because your group and your swipes have to live somewhere and follow you between phones. Apple, Google, or email. That is it.
Built and maintained by a small independent team in New Zealand. No third-party ad tracking.
