Nighttime Fan Noise : Quietide

Set a timeout from 15 minutes

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Never stops on its own. Not when your screen locks, not when your battery fills, not when a subscription lapses. Real fan sounds, all night, ad-free while playing. Fan noise that actually plays all night. Most sleep apps share one fatal flaw: they stop. Mid-night, without warning — when your screen locks, when your phone finishes charging, when a trial quietly expires. You wake at 3am to silence. Quietide doesn't do that. It plays until you stop it, or until the sleep timer you set fades it out. That's the whole promise, and everything in the app exists to keep it. REAL FAN SOUNDS, NOT JUST STATIC • Box fan at three speeds • Oscillating fan that sweeps left and right • Industrial fan for deep, heavy masking • Air conditioner hum • Adjustable speed on every fan, so you can dial in the exact tone you remember ALSO INCLUDED • Pure white noise • Brown noise — deeper and softer, popular for focus • Pink noise • Rain, ocean waves, distant thunder MIX YOUR OWN Run several sounds at once, each with its own volume. Fan plus light rain. Brown noise under ocean waves. Most sound apps make you pick one. This one doesn't. A SLEEP TIMER THAT RESPECTS YOU Anywhere from 15 minutes to 8 hours. It fades out gently over the final minute instead of cutting off and waking you. No time limits on the free version — not now, not ever. BUILT FOR A DARK ROOM Dark interface by default. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for one-tap play. Apple Watch app so you can start or stop without reaching for your phone. Works completely offline — nothing loads, nothing buffers. FAIR ABOUT MONEY Ads only ever appear before playback starts — never over a sound that's already running, and never while a sleep timer is counting down. Remove them permanently with one purchase, no subscription needed. The optional subscription unlocks extra sounds only; it can never interrupt or stop your audio. GOOD FOR Sleeping through a snoring partner. Blocking traffic, neighbours and thin walls. Helping a baby settle. Focus and study. Masking tinnitus. Napping on a plane. Download Quietide and get a full night of uninterrupted sound.
