Plan the costs ahead: in a group, list who brings what, with a rough cost and each person's share. When it is bought, add it as an expense in one tap, even offline. On a plan, tap “I'll bring it” on an item nobody brings yet. When every item is an expense, “Plan the next one” starts a new plan. Send the plan to your group in any chat app, with the group's invite link. Friends without the app can join from the invite link in their browser. Splitting a receipt at the table: everyone starts on every item, and each person unticks what they didn't have. Every sheet now closes when you pull it down, and its close button stays in view. Notifications now play Splendo's own short sound: a receipt being torn. Long group names are no longer cut off. A saved expense's card shows who paid and each person's share. An invite link to a group you are already in takes you straight to the group.

A new look for most screens: simpler pages that are easier to read. Groups: your latest group is on top, with "Add expense" right beside it. With many groups you get search and filters. Archived and closed groups have their own page. Inside a group, one line says who owes whom and opens "Settle up". Each expense shows your share. Settle up: pick the person, then the amount. "Full" fills in the whole debt; a partial payment shows what is left. "Activity" is now a day-by-day timeline. Your notifications are under "For you". Create a group in two steps: name and cover first, then people. Profile shows what you are owed, what you owe and your net balance separately. Settings has search at the top. Sign in with Apple or Google right on the first screen. An expense that is waiting to be sent shows one clear status everywhere. If it gets stuck, you can try again, edit it or delete it.

Home now shows three steps for a new group: create the group, add its first expense, bring in a friend. An empty group asks for the first expense before you invite anyone. Invitees enter their name before joining. They then go straight to the group. Start with one tap: an empty Home now offers three ready groups. One tap creates the group and opens it. As a guest, you can add a sign-in so your groups stay with you when you change phones. Before you allow notifications, a card says exactly what you will get, including at most one reminder a day when someone has owed you for a while. A new app icon, in light, dark and tinted versions, and a new welcome screen. Notifications: the bell opens your own notifications — groups you were added to, expenses and payments with you, reminders — with a dot when something is new. Open a recorded payment to see who paid whom and when. You can delete it, and undo the delete. Add a note to an expense. It stays with the expense, even one you add offline. An expense in another currency now shows your share in the group's currency, with the exchange rate and its date. Activity can now show last month, or dates you choose. Also: change a group's name, category and cover from its Details tab. An open group updates when somebody else adds an expense or joins. A Splitwise import keeps its payments. Guest accounts are no longer signed out after a network or server error. Add an expense without opening the app. Tell Siri, Spotlight or Shortcuts "240 dinner" with Quick expense: you paid, and it is split equally in the group. The new Quick add widget shows a group's balance and adds a recent expense again with one tap, with Undo. In Control Center, Quick expense saves a preset you choose when you add the control. An expense waiting to send can now be opened, edited or deleted before it reaches the group. Also fixed: when the server can't be reached, the app keeps showing your groups with a "Connection problem" notice and refreshes on its own. If you are removed from a group, the app says so and takes the group off your list. Deleted accounts are no longer added to new expenses by default. If you skipped your name, the app asks for it before you share an invite, so no invite goes out without it. A CSV export is now named with your phone's date.

Settling up, in your own app: add your IBAN, PayPal, Pix or UPI once, and whoever owes you can copy it or open their own app with the amount filled in. Splendo never moves money. Notifications: hear when someone adds you to a group, splits an expense with you or settles up with you, and at most one summary a week. You choose which in Settings. Tap anyone in a group's balances to see exactly why: each expense, its rate and both shares. Edit history now says who changed what. People you added by name can get a message with their share and the group link. And invite links open the group in the browser for friends who don't have the app yet. Trips have an end now: give a group its dates, close it when everyone is square, and share a summary card with the totals. Coming from Splitwise? Import a group from its export file. Any group can also be exported as a CSV. At the table, show a receipt's items as a QR code: everyone taps what they had, no app needed. Remind someone who owes you with one tap, at most once a week. Type or say "Dinner 45.50 with Ali and Sam" and the expense form fills itself in. You can also add expenses from Siri, Shortcuts or Control Center, and keep your balance on a Home Screen widget. Enter an expense in any of 48 currencies. Splendo converts it to the group's currency at the rate of the moment you add it, and editing the expense later keeps that rate. Repeating expenses can be in a foreign currency too.

A new group now starts with its first expense. Add it right after creating the group, then send the link from the saved screen — so the friends you invite join a group that already shows who owes what. Expenses in any currency: in a group that keeps its books in reais, euros or lira, enter a cost in pesos, yen or dollars and Splendo converts it for you. Also new: paste an invite link straight from Home, an "Add expense" button in empty groups, and a one-tap way for guests to add a sign-in so their groups follow them to a new phone. You can leave a group while a balance is still open, and saving again after a lost connection no longer creates the same expense twice. Installed Splendo from an invite? Home now offers to paste the invite link you copied, so you land straight in the group. Setup has a Back button, groups with more than 50 people include everyone in the split, and a deleted account is named in your language.

More than one person paid? Record each person’s contribution separately from how the expense is split. Available for regular expenses, receipt-based expenses, and recurring expenses. Settling up is clearer, with exact payment amounts, partial payments, and protection against accidentally recording the same payment twice. Invitations are easier to use: expired links are refreshed before sharing, you can paste the whole chat message containing an invite, and previously used personal invitations show a clear next step.

Someone added you to a group by name, before you had the app? Now you can say so. Open the group's invite link and you'll see the people who were added by name but never signed in. Pick yourself, and everything already recorded under that name — the expenses, the balance — becomes yours. Nobody has to send you a special link any more. You'll see exactly what you're taking on before you decide, and a group admin can undo a wrong pick. Also fixed: the invite page used to show a code with no way to use it. It shows the link now, and the app accepts either. And signing in with Google or Apple no longer blames our server for something our server was never asked to do.

Splendo now runs on iOS 18 and later. Until this update the App Store said Splendo needed iOS 26.5 — the newest version there is. That was never something the app actually required. It was a build setting nobody had looked at since the project was created, and it quietly kept almost everyone from installing at all. Nothing else has changed. What changed is who can install it.

Leaving a group no longer requires your balance to be zero. Somebody who leaves now stays in the balances by name, and the figures reconcile with their own total — which also fixed a rounding error that quietly spread a departed person's debt across everyone else in currencies drawn without decimals, like the Turkish lira. The invite card now shows how long the invite really lasts. "7 days" was fixed text, and whoever sends an invite can choose anything from 1 to 30. In the expense breakdown, the group headings no longer carry the opposite colour to the amounts underneath them, and the total is no longer painted in the colour that means somebody owes you. Settings has two new rows: Help and support, and Rate Splendo.
