Storyboat: Bedtime Stories
Read Aloud Books & Sleep Tales
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Short bedtime stories, read aloud, with every word lighting up as it is read. Play one free tonight, no account needed.
Short bedtime stories, read aloud in a warm voice, with a new picture on every page. Press play and the story tells itself while each word lights up as it is read. About five minutes later it ends, properly, and nothing plays next.
Storyboat is a picture book and an audio story in one: calm bedtime stories for toddlers, preschoolers and early readers aged 3 to 8. No ads, no autoplay, no endless feed. Nothing that fights you when it is time to sleep.
Storyboat includes a selection of stories to enjoy for free. Access to the full story library, including new stories added over time, requires Storyboat Premium, available as an in-app purchase.
TWO WAYS TO HAVE STORY TIME
Listen: a narrator reads the story aloud and the pages turn on their own.
Read: switch the narration off and read it aloud yourself, at your own pace, with the pictures and words on screen.
WHY PARENTS CLIMB ABOARD
- Short: most stories run four to six minutes, so one fits even a late bedtime.
- Words that light up: every word highlights the moment it is spoken, so early readers follow along and connect the sound to the page.
- A picture on every page: every sentence gets its own illustration, gentle on little eyes.
- Original stories with big hearts: friendship, kindness, sharing and courage, told without a lecture.
- Gentle music: soft music under every story, with its own volume. Turn it down or off.
- A screen that goes to sleep: after The End the music plays on for the time you choose, fades out, and the screen sleeps by itself.
- Text your way: four text sizes and four reading fonts, including one made for children learning to read.
- Made for children: no ads, and once setup is done, plans and settings sit behind a grown-ups-only question.
FROM THE LIBRARY
