more We now measure which screens are opened and which buttons are pressed — no texts or contact details — to improve the app. To turn it off: Profile → Privacy → Analytics; crash reports have their own switch, Diagnostics. Our privacy policy is updated, so you'll be asked to confirm it once. For pros: nearby job offers now arrive as time-sensitive notifications and come through Focus.

Posting a request now takes an account: sign in or sign up when you post — your draft is kept and posts itself. Fixes in the UAE licence and payouts form: website addresses with capitals are accepted, names and addresses stay exactly as typed, the status updates right after Stripe, and the documents list names both sides of the Emirates ID and the passport.
2.32 2d ago
Updated payout setup for UAE professionals: company details, documents and bank details in one form. Added phone formatting, location guidance and recovery actions when going on the line fails. Fixed back navigation and home screen spacing.

The order screen is easier to use: the order and the chat are now on separate tabs, and the main button — On my way, Start work, Confirm — is always at the bottom, no scrolling; Chat shows what's unread. Choosing a pro is simpler: once you choose one, other pros no longer see the order, and if you turn the pro away, the app offers to send the order to everyone or assign it to another pro. The keyboard closes with Done or a tap outside the field. The Payouts screen shows more clearly what is left to fill in on Stripe, and the link in the reminder email opens the form right away. Pros now have a Wallet: the balance, pending amounts by order and the payout history on a screen of their own, opened from Home and from your profile; the Payouts screen keeps just the settings. Pros in the UAE can set up payouts more easily: the app asks for your licence first, shows what to have ready and fills in the rest of the Stripe form for you. Messages now shows all your conversations, including finished and cancelled orders: a separate one with each pro, with the order's status; closed conversations open read-only. Your profile now shows the app version. Names display correctly in Arabic. Bug fixes and improvements.

The Payouts screen tells you what to do in Stripe and no longer says "Stripe is checking" before the form is sent. Pros in the UAE get a list of what to have ready before setting up payouts. Links in HandyMan emails open the right screen in the app. Bug fixes.
2.25.2 Oct 21
Every service category now has its own icon. When you post a request, you choose the category — the app no longer picks the first one for you. Unread-message counters on order cards refresh when you come back to the app and when you pull down to refresh. An abandoned request draft with videos no longer takes up space on your phone. Bug fixes.
2.25 Oct 19
Orders update on their own, and buttons show when your request is on its way. Pros head out on the promised day and start work after "On my way"; a pro can suggest moving the start, and the client agrees or keeps the old time. Your payouts screen shows what is available, pending and paid — with the orders behind each sum. Clients see how many pros responded and can turn a pro down before hiring. The chat knows what you've read. Bug fixes and improvements.
2.24 Oct 15
Set your exact address — building, floor and flat — and save the places you use. A licence refusal reason is now shown in full. Clearer screen-reader labels. A clearer payouts status while Stripe checks your documents. With a single response, the chat with the pro opens right away. Fixed choosing an address in a new request without signing in. Bug fixes.

Set your exact address — building, floor and flat — and save the places you use. A licence refusal reason is now shown in full. Clearer screen-reader labels. Bug fixes.
2.22 Oct 12
The app is now fully in your language: we translated the remaining pro and order screens. Prices can be set precisely, down to two decimals, and field hints are clearer. A pro on the way shows on the map more reliably. Bug fixes.
2.21 Oct 11
Home no longer jumps when it refreshes — buttons stay under your finger, and the full-screen map opens right away. Even spacing on request cards. Bug fixes.
2.20 Oct 6
Orders in the US now show miles and 12-hour time. The Requests tab lists every open order; filters by trade, city and budget are there when you want them. Bug fixes.
2.19 Oct 5
A radar on the pro's home screen shows you're on the line and the app is looking for jobs nearby. A reminder if your phone number isn't confirmed yet. The number is checked before the SMS is sent. Bug fixes.
2.18 Oct 4
Answering an urgent job is quicker. When the client wants it done as soon as possible, the response form already offers the soonest start you can actually make — at least 10 minutes from now, rounded to the next quarter hour. You can change it.
Signing out now signs you out of this device only: you stay signed in on your other phones and in the browser.
Fixes and stability improvements.
2.17 Oct 3
An updated privacy policy, version 2.3. If you have not agreed to it yet, the app asks once — and opens the text in your own interface language.
Your consent can no longer be overwritten backwards. If you accepted the new policy on another device or in a browser, the app will not write an older version over it, and will not ask again about something you have already agreed to.
2.16 Oct 1
Place instead of city. An account now has one place — a city searched in a gazetteer rather than a line to type. It decides which pros and which jobs you see, and it follows the account onto another device.
The nearby-jobs map groups close pins into clusters, so a busy map shows where the work is instead of markers stacked on each other. The full-screen map opens on your place.
Start times are shown in your own timezone. A pro who commits to 14:00 where they are is read as 14:00 by the client next to them, not as a shifted hour.
"Become a pro" prefills the city from your place. No place, no prefill — an empty field asks, where a stale city answers a question you never asked.
Accessibility: list rows and switches can be read and pressed with VoiceOver.
Fixes: a message you send is on screen straight away; the app no longer signs you out of a working account when it cannot read your profile, and no longer shows a role it does not know.
2.15 Sep 30
The time on a request and on an offer is now picked, the way the date already was. Before it was typed, and “1200” was accepted by the app and refused by the server with an error that explained nothing.
The number keyboard has a Done button — no more dismissing it blind to reach the button underneath the form.
In chat, Call is a button with a handset rather than a line of text.
2.14 Sep 19
Order address. Until a pro is chosen, an order shows the district and an approximate distance — not the street and number. The exact address goes to the pro you pick.
Phone confirmation from a notification: the notification opens the code screen itself, not the cabinet.
Chat: a message you send is on screen straight away. In a long thread it could slip under the keyboard.
Accessibility: list rows and switches can now be read and pressed with VoiceOver.
Fixes: the app no longer signs you out of a working account when your profile cannot be read, and no longer shows a role it does not know.
2.13 Sep 14
New order sound. Pros hear a new order arrive. A switch in your profile, under Settings, turns it off.
The map on an order. While you are looking for a pro, the map shows where pros nearby work. Once a pro has taken your order and agreed to it, you see them on the way: this order only, until they start work.
Recommendations. The order form offers a pro you have worked with before, and the order can be addressed to them. The list is in your profile, under Recommendations.
For pros: your working city is detected from your location in your own profile, and the country and city show on your card — to clients and to you. The home screen no longer changes your working city on its own: only you do.
No emoji in the interface — where a glyph meant something, it is a system icon now.
Fixes: a password reset link asks for a new password again instead of opening the account.
Updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service — the app asks once for your agreement.
2.12 Sep 13
Phone verification: the SMS code is delivered to UAE (+971) and US (+1) numbers, and the country code is picked with one tap.
If a number is already verified on another account, the app tells you right away.
Privacy: a new Privacy screen lets you turn diagnostics and usage data off, and the privacy policy now opens in your language. HandyMan operates in the UAE and the United States.
Fixes: the password field no longer capitalises the first letter or keeps a non-Latin keyboard, the security check no longer discards a puzzle you solved, and a failed password reset says what went wrong instead of claiming a letter was sent.
2.11 Sep 7
Your phone number is verified by SMS before a request goes out, so pros know the order is real.
A pro taps "On my way" and names the travel time; you see they are coming and confirm you are waiting.
Work starts only after you confirm it. Before the start you can turn the pro away; after it, you can cancel with a reason.
A request nobody took no longer expires silently: you get a warning 12 hours ahead and can extend it by two days or post it again.
2.9 Sep 5
Pros now describe their services and prices while creating their profile. That field used to live only in profile editing, so a new pro's "Services & prices" section stayed empty until they found it.
A tapped notification now opens exactly what it is about — that request, that offer, that chat — instead of a general screen.
The app tour opens with a short video.
2.8 Sep 3
