Matches use two sets. Win a set with at least four games and a two-game lead. At one set each, serve changes every point in a deciding game; the first two-point lead wins.

Ranked multiplayer is open. Every match is now two sets. A set takes 4 games with a 2-game lead, so 4-4 reads DEUCE and a one-game lead reads AD. If the sets split 1-1, a deuce game decides the match: serve alternates every point and the first 2-point lead wins. Ranked unlocks after World Tour Stage 5, so you can challenge real rivals much sooner. One match, less time. Matches against CPU rivals are now first to 2 games, so you can finish a full match on the go. World Tour Stage 1 is gentler, making those first rallies easier to keep alive if you are new to the game.
